10R rpm vs speed chart

Stock tire. The rear tire profile is curved, so unlike a car, you can't take the sidewall height as the series/percentage of the treadwidth and be right; for the stock 218 tire I measured 25 1/4 in diameter, and I applied a correction factor to the calc for tire diameter. I think it's really close, but for those who disagree, I've attached the spreadsheet itself as well as the snap of the results.

and the Excel sheet: here

some one with some computing knowledge download this app and sub in the above info... then send it to me and I'll repost it... (this calculator is configured for the 12R and the Busa)

Fish, you posted an executable.

It'd be a LOT easier with the source code... it would take quite a while to disassemble it and poke in the correct gear ratios and the bike name strings. Plus, we'd need a whole different set of tire sizes and measurements for them.

I can make something similar, or even make a spreadsheet form that's similar, but maintainable.

Is there something special about the side-by-side comparison of the two bikes? What is special about this program that you like it so well?

sorry.. a member made that for us back in 2000 for the ZX12R.. it's nice because it lets you calculate the effects of gearing changes so you can choose different sprocket combos. I dont have the source code.. .and since there is no rival for the 10R (like the 12 vs the busa) we dont care much about it having two different bikes.. might be interesting to make it the 12R vs the 10R though just fer fun....

spreadsheet might work but really it helps people select gearing.. dontknow if you can make it do that..

Well, to try different gearing n the spreadsheet I made (follow the link), the gearing is under the column 'final'. It's an equation - "=39/17".

If you had -1 front / +1 rear for example, for each gear in rows 2-7, you'd change the equation to "=40/16".

I'll play with it tomorrow night or on the plane Tuesday, and see if I can come up with a nice form that has all the bells and whistles.
