Just completed 600mile service.
Alrighty then... I just did the 600mile service... changed the oil, lubed the chain etc etc... I double checked all of the torques in the A&P doc and all is fine...
BTW thanks for the tip about the tinfoil whoever that was.
PS... filter wrench is a must!

Me, I think, and you're welcome, but Chris Dolan also posted about it on LABusas. I've used the trick for years, but he may have (probably did) had it first.
I've not had to change anything on mine but the oil. Wipe it down with WipeClean, and that's about it... chain lube, like you noted, and a rear brake pedal adjustment.
But mine is getting buzzier, I've noticed, and the transmission smoother.

Can ya scan a copy of that? I would rather do my own 200 dollar "600 mile" oil change.

Since I am sure a lot of people would like access to the sheet, if anybody has a scanned copy, send it to me and I'll host it and put the link in a thread.

Fish, thanks for posting those numbers. I live in a small town and the nearest dealer has a service department run by idiots. They won't give me any kind of information since I don't have any work done there. Actually a few years ago I did have them mount a new front tire before a trip to CO (from MI). After getting the bike off the trailer in CO, I discovered the morons had mounted the tire backwards, needless to say I have not been back to their service dep't.

You work it over the headers, under the oil heat exchanger, and behind the oil filter, to make sort of a waterslide-shaped funnel for the oil from the filter to run down and drip into your oil change pan.
I take a sheet of tinfoil, and fold it in thirds width wise to reinforce it - I have a strip about 4" wide and a foot or more long. I then feed it under the heat exchanger, ofer the headers, and behind the oil filter housing.
One cap wrench and a 10" extension later, I unscrew the filter, and tip it up on the threaded post it mounts on so it can run down the tinfoil slide and into the pan. Then I take the filter out between the headers wtih my left hand - no drips, no mess.
Pull the tinfoil down while it's over the pan, and you're done.

note that the colums didnt transpose very well.. there are 3 figures, and in order for each troque spec they are :
N·m, kgf·m, ft·lb
ie:
1 Handlebar bolts 25 2.5 18
=25 n-m
=2.5 kgf-m
=18 ft-lb
NOTE some are in inch-pounds and do say sao... also there is a side bar.... where these letters appear do what they instruct:
AL: Tighten the two clamp bolts alternately two times to ensure even tightening torque.
S: Tighten the upper clamp bolt first, and then the lower clamp bolt.
If someone has more time on their hands they could make that post of mine line up all nice and pretty so it made more sense.
