Scandinavian motorcycle magazine, BIKE, rated zx10r best of it's class.
Honda&Yamaha got equal points and being second of the test. Though Honda got most HP and next Yamaha at 0,9hp more than 10r.
They used two bikes/manufacturer to get accurate results.
zx10r was every test rider's choice as being THE BEST 1000cm sportsbike this year!
Many refer to cubic cm as just cm in conversation. Just like many refer to the english displacement as in. Like saying "it's got a 427 inch big block."
I personally don't trust these numbers, cause many other foreign mags have got WAAAY different results. (Like it really matters, all of the four kick ass)

Didn't the one on Jardine's dyno only throw down 148? Mileage on the clock with standing, the variation to real dealer purchased bikes seems to be quite wide at this point, and beyond the gains normally seem from proper mileage.
It's unfortuate in this class that dyno sheets seem to be over emphesized versus overall function.
Out of curiosity, you folks get a 1000RR yet to work with?

A fella I know dyno'd his 1000rr right after a 10r and got 1 hp less than the 10r, gained 4 hp with the Jardine slip on. The 10r gained 4 as well with the Muzzy.

Thanx fish....
slo 10r - 1000RR does indeed make about 4 hp more than stock with the Jardine Slip-On bolted on stock (no pc3). Though it still does not make the 10 numbers.

The mags here in the States got ringers. Bikes with 15 to 20 more ponies than the production models. I was told, to my face, by the RRW testers that it WAS NOT related to what dyno was used as they tried several and all came up with 162+. The same geniuses told me it HAD to be real because they swapped the ECU with one off a showroom bike. All anyone seems to care is the bike was either picked #1 or at least posted the highest numbers. It still amazes me how people can rationalize getting jacked by a manufacturer out for good press at the risk of their reputation. Now I see why they felt it was ok to take the chance. The world is full of mush headed morons. Nothing agaist the bike, it's just absolutely not in the same league as the ones that were tested in the US mags. Sorry if that's hard to swallow, but I guess taking it up the ass is easier for some.
