ZX10R decision Has anyone sold their ride that they thought would NEVER,EVER happen and regret buying the 10r,probably none of the cool newness hasn't even worn off yet,so opinions might be bias toward the 10r.As you can read I'm trying to figure out which way to go.

My old bike was a Bandit 1200 with a 1216 piston kit, GSXR cams, and Holeshot exhaust and jet kit.
I honestly miss the huge mid-range (90 ft-lb at 6500 rpm) and comfort of the Bandit. The ZX only makes 80 ft-lb peak. Hell, the Bandit makes more than 80 ft-lb from 4,500 to 9,000 rpm.
But. . . there's something to be said for owning the latest and greatest machine made.
Anyone want a killer deal on a low-mileage, hopped-up Bandit?

The 10R is so trick that it will be hard for me to regret buying. What are you riding now Elrwfo. You might have read that it may not make a good two up bike. Good Luck

I've got a race/track bike,a Honda Hawk GT 650,it's never seen the street,very cool,bought and paid for.Street bike is a zrx 1100,punched to 1109,zx11 cams,stage 3,kerker meg,works shocks,race tech forks,yada yada,bought and paid for.It's comfortable,140h.p.,old school,kinda like me.I told myself that I'd never sell it,problem # 1.Three bikes is overkill,problem # 2.I've already got a loan,if need be,found a smoking deal on a green one of course.Just know that the zrx is a great all-around bike.

I went to the 10R from a sweet '01 Gixxer 1000, stock except for a full TiForce exhaust , PC3, and kevlar lines. Haven't missed it for a moment. The new bike feels like it's in an entirely different class.

My dealer has only had 1 black. No green or orange. I have been first on list for a few months. I have only heard of 1 dealer getting an orange and it was sold. They said it may be may or june till I get an orange.

ZRX is a great bike, having the titles is also a plus. Sounds like you already have a nice combo. My advice would be to stay away from the dealerships before you get hooked. The blue ones are capable of causing one to forget reason. Good Luck . . . hard to pass on a killer deal

like marco, i traded in my '01 gixxer...a lot of regrets on the way to drop it off...no regrets after riding the 10r...i agree 100% with marco's statement that the 10r is in a different class...the bike is incredible

It all depends what you want. I got rid of a hayabusa (too heavy and too long). IMHO, the 10r is a great bike (except for those mirrors - the worse I've ever owned)

Salt, where you at in OH? I'm in south central OH but haven't been able to look for 10R availability since I have prior commitments with the wife. Maybe later in the summer. Cross your fingers.
