ZX10R Comfort Level?
Hi,
I read in the review that the "gang" put over 200 miles or so on the 10R. I was curious how comfortable the bike is for street riding?
Around town, can you sit up without putting a ton of presure on the wrists?
When tucked up did it feel cramped? Did the wrists hurt or the back after some time?
I am kinda curious what the concensus is.
I wish people would take some pictures of people sitting (in various positions) on the ZX10R.
Man, do i wish i didnt skip the bike show.
What to do, 2003 R1 = 7000, or 2004 ZX10R=10800...
Comforts most important to me but then again, my riding would be no more than 100 miles per day. I just want to make sure the riding position isnt so aggressive that I end up hunched over for a few days after each ride

The 10R is more comfortable than the 2003 R1. The 2004 R1 is prolly more comfortable than the 10R, tho. In the reviews posted earlier by Fish and myself, we talked about the comfort of the bike. You might want to read those.

Lot's of pix too! For a stationary view of a "mystery man on black pearl", check a few threads back. He's tucked in doing wind tunnel testing. He looks about 6' 1", 190 lbs of pure man meat.

that's very much an individual answer Rich. to me, jsut from sittin on the bikes, the 10 is definitely more comfy. the R1's bars feel lower (tho i dont think they are), and the reach is deinfitely longer. i hate that. the 10 may be a bit more cramped, but that also means less reach. only the lack of legroom worries me a bit, but the pegs seem to be so high u could always drop em a touch. mostly tho, i just love the 10's seat and seat/tank shape. the R1 definitely did not leave me comfortable in that sense.

I rode an R1 for the entire sumer last year ('02 model) I had a great time on it, but it wasn't mine to keep. I was breaking it in for one of my friend that was stationed in Egypt at the time he purchased it. I normally ride a '00 ZX12R, back on subject. The have sat on the '04 10R and it reminds me a lot of the R1, but having not ridden the 10R I cannot speak for it's comfort level. I am 41 years old with back problems and I really did like the R1. Not sure if this helps you in your assessment...
