Sportrider tests all 4 liter bikes on same day and....

....and the ZX10r kicks butt. See it at www.sportrider.com - ZX10r 164.2 and 80.0 ft lbs of torque
CBR1000 149.1 / 75.9
GSXR1000 152.3 / 78.1
R1 158.9 / 74.4 (with a terrible torque curve)

All tested on the same day, on the same dyno - Kawasaki has a WINNER!!!!

The most horsepower/torque, the least weight, the best handling, the best brakes, and from what I read from all the different tests there is absolutely no problems with this bike.

Can we all say in unison, "BIKE OF THE YEAR" (at least sport-bike of the year)

sweet. Why are there so many different tests with so big of differences. hell some mags had the r1 on top, and most had our zx 10 on top but some had waaaaaaaaaaay diffrent numbers and the bikes in way different orders. I have never seen so much inconsistency before.

most are testing bikes on different days. The ONLY way to get a good comparison is to test each bike on the same dyno, back to back to back to back. And when this is done the ZX10r has always been on top.

Did anyone else notice that the CBR lost power compared to their last dyno run and the 10 gained power? Not that I'm complaining.
I wonder if these are the same bikes they tested last time.

I could wish the news comes out three days AFTER I close the deal on my bike, not before...

Dutch rag Moto73 also has a comparo same story: ZX10R has the highest power output.

btw: they used a Fuchs dyno the 10R did 173.1 PS
the CBR 169.9
R1 170.6 (again a very large power/torque dip at around 7000 rpm)
GSXR 164.7

Overall though the R1 was the winner, better allround etc (the R1 will be the Beemer for this millenium hehehe)
