First person to put a 180 on their 10R, let me know how it does...

Thinner tires = cheaper. Handling on the 10R? dunno.

Thanks, oh brave souls...

The profile of the tire will make a difference as well, so size alone (190 vs. 180) isn't the only thing to consider. Some tires are more triangular than others.

Yikes. This thing is perfect with the 190. Why mess with perfection? Perhaps if you're into the Drag thing, maybe there are benefits. I don't know myself (I'm a knee dragger). Don't think this is the kind of bike you want to go "cheap" on the tires. It could bite you. I don't know if there's much difference $$$ wise anyway. For that matter, is there such a thing as a cheap 180 anymore? Oh well.... back to your question, I'm sure someone will do it soon enough; just not me.

Just checked, $17 difference between 180 and 190. I spend more on lunch than that...

I agree with Kerry, why try and go cheap. Seems to me if I slap down 11 grand for the top sport bike around that I would want some of the best tires. At least the best that give me somewhat of decent mileage (for a sportbike tire that is)

Because I have a an opportunity on older Pilot Race tires in 180... Michelin is replacing the model, so places are trying to close out the old ones.

It's a lot more than $17/tire difference; I was thinking of buying 3 to 5 of them...
