Hey Swift, or others like? You seem like you know whats going down a lot in terms of kawasaki. With this new delay there talking about how long do you honestly think we should be waiting? Anyone else who thinks they know should chime in. I've heard anything from early feb, to april? Anyone think they know?
Needs a life
Full throttle!

Hey dude,
I just know what my dealer is feeding me...And he says that they'll get the updated ship dates around the 15th of Jan.
And I would bet a ton that the delay is due to the shifting probs.

My friendly local Kawasaki dealer has 15 motorcycles coming in today. They say they have no idea what they are. Hmmmm....
My dealer said he called today and is still getting the late janurary early feb estimate. He said that it obvously isn't set in stone, but that he feels kawasaki is ususally more reliable about there dates than say Yamaha or suzuki. But I dont know, im expecting late feburary early march honetly.. But damn how freaking awesome would that be if it really came late this month or early next. My guess is the tranny isnt anything more than a spring problem.. Im hoping it doesnt take to long to fix.

Sounds just like the 12R delay. Wasn't that delay rumored at the time to fix a "handling problem" or "bad frames" or whatever.
I still think they built some ringers and now are either trying to get the production bikes up to snuff, or detuning them for some stupid ass reason.
Time will tell.

I have one o those '00 zx12r's that was delayed, as I remember there was no reason given for the delay. They (KHI) just pushed the relaes back 6 weeks. It has been almost 4 years now, but I am very positive that is the way it went.

No OFFICIAL reason was given ,but it happened as a German tester was spit off of one when low oil level caused a seized rod. I guess they wanted to be SURE before selling it to the public. Also there was a big stink brewing over a 200 mph motorcycle loose on our roads. All this happened at about the same time. We'll never know for sure.

Ozzy, i dont know about ringers... but I'll bet the pre production units at least have very accurate cam timing and nicely matched pistons and bores etc. Everything just right on.
I wonder if these "mules" at the shows were the ones ridden in fla. ?
How many are floating around right now?

Latest word from my friendly local Kawasaki dealer. The Vulcan 2000 is in transit from Japan. The ZX10R has not been released yet. None on the boat. Shucky darn.
