air shifter question
OK, so I'm installing my air shifter this weekend. I've got just about everything figured out except where to mount the solenoid. I am being told to make sure that the air line from the solenoid to the air ram is as short as possible....preferable about 6". That would mean that I have to mount the solenoid on the frame somewhere.
Anyone here running an electric over air setup on a ZX-12? Where did you mount your solenoid?

I mounted mine under the fuel tank on the left side, ass close to the shifter as I can get it on the plastic that makes up the inner fender. Put a screw thru the plastic to hold it. Make sure the tank doesn't come down and pinch the line. Line ended up being pretty short, and it has worked fine all season.

On a 12 I've seen guys ziptie it to the fairing bracket that supports the radiator overflow and leftside lower fairing, line is super short and works great.

Can any of you post or send me a picture of your setup? Also, I'm assuming that you put your air bottle in the trunk. What do your mounts look like? How did you mount it in there?

Skip the air bottle & mount an N2O bottle,
it'll save some time for when you want to take the next step...
My brothers bike shifted on nitrous & it always works,
you never have to fill the shifter at the track,
just regulate the line preasure & race.
Then when your ready for 8 seconds,
you won't need to mount another bottle.
