Here come the 8's

Finally had some progress with the Nos and bike set up this weekend. First off I would highly recommend NLR for shock revalveing. Set my shock to Seb and very happy with the changes in the bike. 60ft times are still off but understand im running an MTC multistage and have been trying to get chassis and clutch sorted out.
60ft 1.675
660ft 6.17
et 9.338
mph 155.246
Im 215 without gear and this was about a 35-40 hp shot.
I know this isnt the fastest pass on a 12 but so happy now I feel things are finally moving forward.

How do you like the mutlistage? How did you set it up spring wise? I have a 60" Zx12...stock motor with hindle, and I just ordered up a MTC. So far I have been 6.14 @ 118.5mph in the texas heat (90+)....1.57 60' with a 235 pounds rider. I hope to cut down those 60's with the MTC, because with the 12..you gotta be on top of your game to launch good every time!!

BTW....is this with a dry or wet kit? Nice times...its always takes awhile to get a new combo sorted out, but when you do..its badass Good luck!

Im running a 6 over arm.
As far as the lockup goes im still trying to get it set. Wasnt aware of my shock problem until we replaced it. Youre running low 6.1?? in the 1/8 with a stock bike with no Nos? If thats the case im not sure you will gain that much with the lockup. Im running a real weird sping combo. My advise is talk to Tony Lang and follow his guidelines. Once I have my combo totally worked out I will give out some info. Without the nos my best 60 with the lockup was 1.53 i believe, but I was fighting the shock problem at the same time. My Nos kit is a wet kit with a controller. Im not putting any juice to the bike until after 60ft...But that is about to change

I dont beleive it a person with the same set up as me(almost). I have an stock 02 step hindle 16/48 gears wet NOS getting a shintz controler next week. Best 60 ft on motor is 1.49, running around 1.52 normaly. Changing gearing to 17/48 for NOS 70 shoot wet. Set up is MTC softer clutch springs with #5&#9 finger weights with 2 washers on each steel bolt. And I have a NLR revalve shock, bike & me are 690lbs 172 hp best time is 1.49 60ft 6.16 @ 117 1/8th 9.56 @ 143 1/4. In Hawaii at sea level but the air is not the greatest.

I just hope to get the 60's into the 1.50-1.55 range, on a consistant basis. I run 1.60's all day in my sleep...but its hard to watch a pro-tree, and concentrate on working the clutch just right! Whenever you ran your best 60's, how did you do the clutch? Are you letting go of it and working the throttle, or what? I weigh 720 pounds bike and rider, so its alittle harder with the weight to get it going. Seems like it wants to bog easier....maybe its just the stock motor and no power

I guess the 63" makes all the differance becuase I stage at 5500 and let it go. If I stage at 5000 or lower it boges. Are you wheeling, what is your gearing what do you stage at? how low is the bike and where is the shock set at?

bike is on the ground, stock shock, will wheelie if im in the gas alot. 16/48 gearing, and usually take the bike outta the gate around 4500 rpm. This bike has been 6.1s many times and it 6.20s in its sleep.....no internal mods whatsoever besides clutch basket

Weve got a few bikes with stock motors running in the 5.90-6.20 range @ 60 inches. Our busa is getting a motor and MTC multi so we will see how they work stock motor and big motor....

my motor is the same and when the bike was shorter it wheelied alot but NLR revalve the shock and it made the bike stay down more. Before the lock up I was staging at 3500 and letting it fly no bogging gearing was at 16/49 then. where is the rebound set at? I had to have mine almost maxed with the stock shock to stop it from wheeling.

Man, thats alot of gear. You should try more rpm and a little less gear. Would MPH better, and maybe improve the whole thing....to get the lockup to work right you need the load on the tire and 12s LOVE rpm so I would get some more rpm, mess with the gearing a little and I bet you can get back down there.....you need to treat that thing like you hate it! Rev the piss out of it!

I ran a 9.45 with that gear but my 60ft was 1.45 also. I have a 17/48 now because of the NOS.
