1st time back since last year
Got back to the track last night first time since last October! Running the stock arm 16/44 gearing I was having a hell of a time getting familiar with drag racing again. 1st pass 9.98 @ 144, 2nd pass 9.90 @ 146 and 3rd pass finally a 1.63 60' and 9.76 @ 146.37. This is on the silver bike it's 100% bone stock w/hindle pipe. Not very impressive I completely forgot how to ride!! I was progressing until being the idiot that I am forgot to check the chain and it has about 3 inches of slack on my next launch I thought I broke the trans! It popped so loud and hard I seriously thought something broke and when it grabbed the front end came up so I lifted and got back in it to an embarrassing 10.2 @ 144. The bike has MPH. I just need some seat time stock wheelbase again. I'm used to 63" and dropping the hammer on the green bike (1.47 60's / 8.90s) but I know I'll get it back down.. I anticipate high 9.50s out of this bike shouldn't be a problem, I've done it in the past on other stock 12s just need to re-learn. Anyway I ran the new heads up class with "Instant Green" tree it was fun, qualified 4th made semis and had the chain problems. Still had fun tho!

I think the instant green tree is a Pro-Tree .400 for a perfect reaction!!!

Instant tree is no yellows! It's pre-stage, stage, and GREEN at a random interval! Sometimes it goes green instantly after the final stage, sometimes 10 or even 15 seconds later! They screw with you! It's fun. There is no "anticipation" created by yellow lights dropping.

Looking at your .76 run I can see how you would be dissapointed Bergie. As a fellow 12 rider, I'd be willing to take that run off of your hands and put it in my scrap book as one of the really bad stock 12 runs!
Nice ride. I would think the instant tree would equalize things a bit with the guys that spend everywaking moment practicing their launch off of the .500 full or .400 pro tree!

LOL yeah I guess a 9.76 isn't 100% horrible, but I'm disappointed in myself not the bike. The bike runs strong with the Hindle, I just need to get a firm grasp on my capabilities again. Next week I'll run the Rockingham race on true stock wheelbase again and get punished in 60" on the stock engine stock wheelbase bike! I need to get my groove back and my green bike back on the road!
I posted a video of the 9.76 run on the website here http://www.dontbescaredracing.com/video
