I'm surprised at.........

How fast my new truck(03 dodge 1500"5.7 hemi") is,holy shit,it smoked my boy's 01 mustang GT from the line all the way to 100mph,then of course,he pulled by me.I didn't think that it would be that fast.

Mine is just a single cab,but I got the graphite metalic paint,w/the chrome, looks good, pulls like 9000lbs according to my book-for a half ton, that's crazy, can't wait to put the computer from mopar in there to fix the first to second shift, also exhaust and an intake, should have around 400hp w/that-no super charger or nos.

I would assume that one real advantage your truck has is that it can actually put most of the horsepower on the ground. Mustngs continue to suffer from wheel spin!

I've got a regular cab that's red, of course, like my old bike. Ran a best of 15.20 at 88 the other day. Ride sucks but that's mostly due the Hotchkis rear springs that lowered it 4". Looks mucho bettero with them big 20s. Mileage sucks at 15, maybe. I practically dislocate my shoulder every time I put the seat belt on. Kinda sucks. Actually wish I'd kept my 02 Chevy 5.3. Midrange torque feels bout the same, spongy as hell.

You got the 3.92 anti spin?Saw one at the track and he told me he was all motor after he ran 14.7(beating his buddies r/t dakota),I saw that, but not the mph,we argued about it and I told him he was spraying,he kept saying no,I didn't believe him till I got mine, either way,if you got the 3.55 axle,it will be slower according to sport truck.Mopar magazine says the computer module makes a huge difference in the way it shifts, allows more rpm, plus an increase in hp of nearly 30hp,I'm sure it's not cheap either.

Its a 392 rear in that one....but there aint no way itll run 14.7

I lined up against a few buddies trucks who run the 14 regularly. Id estimate mid 15s@high 80s mph.

Intra...tell the guy in the R/T to learn how to drive. 14.7s tell me the R/T is bone freaking stock. At least take off the air hat. Then the R/T can go 14.6s

As far as the PCM... I thought the EPA nazis put the squeeze on Mopar for those "high emissions" parts. Your only option may be a reflash from B&G Chrysler.
30hp from a box? Nah, but it does raise the shift points, etc.
Do you guys have emissions testing in TX?

Yep, got the 3.92 sure grip. With some more normal sized and lighter rubber and wheels, I'm sure it'd be in the 14's. Is the computer available from Mopar yet?

The computer will come out this week(that's what they told me),I had a 5.2 liter dakota with a 5spd and 392 axle,it made 189 hp to the wheels stock, then we put a flow master and 3" exhuast,no cat,and it made 205 hp,then we added the mopar computer and a filter with a custom chrome intake tube and it made 228 hp.I bought an m1 intake and"1000cfm" TB from mopar and ended up w/242 hp to the wheels. This was a 98 dakota sport single cab,it would kill any R/T around here,I also put a 150 hp NX system to boot. With spotsman pro's spinning down the track it went 13.3@109 mph,and I missed 4th gear.14.2's all day long on motor.I know a little about dodge trucks, stock dakota R/T's go high 14's and low 15's -stock.YCIS,your truck is a little heavier then a single cab,but I bet you could go mid 15's still.Ken,my truck has the chrome 17's,but I don't care if it slows down,I'm going 20's,or even up to 22's.The epa isn't going to stop mopar when it comes to bolt ons,not even in California.I almost forgot,I had the mopar headers put on during the exhuast instal, how can I forget, those headers were nearly the most expensive part.
