oh boy, a lot better than i thought, my best is 9.83 at 210lbs just lowered 1 inch in the rear, strapped in front and 17/50 gearing. I should post this on a suzuki site and listen to them start lying. I hav'nt seen a zuki in the nines unless it had a ton of work done. Excellent job boys. Might have to get T-shirts for this club!!!!!!!!!!

That's weird,9.83(a few of those on here)then 9.88 is what I ran with paper plates, stock everything, but front strapped to the fender, removed filters, but that was it,mph was 141 then 143 that night.Same night I had my 98 zx-9r with akro pipe, strapped, head work,no nos that night and it went 9.8's at 144 mph,I weighed 155 then(march 2000),but now 195,short times on the 12 that night were 1.72-1.75 and 1.6's on the 9r.Still have the time slip from the 9-damn that's 3 yrs ago!

I also remember going 10.1@142 on AnotherRedHead's ZX12,it had a link on the back set on the middle setting and no strap on the front bone ass stock and 1.75 short time with a good wheelie through 2nd,I was 175lbs then, his felt a little faster, same mph as mine, but I weighed 20lbs more and it was hot and humid when I rode his compared to mine(way back then, how things have changed).

My first trip down the track with the 12R was at a track about 40 miles away. I was trying to be sneaky and hoped that none of my "locals" would see me there in case I screwed up big time.
As luck would have it, there were about 4-6 of the exact guys I was trying to hide from!!
I ran anyway, bike was lowered front and back, everything else stock, gearing and all.
Here's those first two weeks runs from a spreadsheet I keep:
6/9/01 - 0.686 - 1.655 - 4.32 - 6.436 - 116.15 - 9.824 - 143.67 - STOCK
6/9/01 - 0.86 - 1.672 - 4.354 - 6.467 - 116.32 - 9.858 - 143.65 - STOCK
6/14/01 - 0.897 - 1.679 - 4.392 - 6.517 - 115.65 - 9.923 - 142.93 - STOCK
6/14/01 - 0.841 - 1.65 - 4.287 - 6.399 - 116.26 - 9.813 - 141.9 - STOCK
6/14/01 - 0.795 - 1.649 - 4.33 - 6.451 - 116.34 - 9.866 - 142.47 - STOCK
6/14/01 - 1.73 - 1.674 - 4.371 - 6.49 - 116.36 - 9.886 - 144.14 - STOCK
Dem's was the good ol' days. First passes, in the 9's, pretty much the only 12R around, and all the Busa owners going "Oh Shit!!".....

9.91 @ 145mph Stock, lowered and straped and 16/48 gearing. Also have a K&N and Muzzy billet basket. That is with QuickTrip 87 oct pump gas.
DR JOE
If your bike is stock with little to no mods try a couple of passes on 87 oct pump gas and watch your time pick up. If your burning anything over 87 in a stock bike your wasting your money.....But the oil companys want you to believe that your going faster.....

I ran 9.70@145. Stock pipes.lowered. and 16/40 gearing on my 99 Hayabusa
bkrfstmn,
You hang with a bunch of non riding wimps. My Busa ran 9.70s any time I wanted too. After a few mods I ran a 9.26@150. Motor is still stock. If you don't believe me ask Redelk. He knows who I am.

Bkrfstmn,
My best last fall at Bristol was a 9.90
The difference between Chads times and mine may have to do with the extra 85 pounds I carry and also me being an oldkawboy!
