Bogging/Loosing Revs on Launch

Had my '05 1200 at the local drag strip the other night. This is the first time I've had it to the track since doing some "Go Fast" mods.

When the bike was stock except for the pipes, it lauched quite easily, just rev it to about 3,500rpm, dump the clutch and hit the gas. My RTs were pretty consistent, between .08 and .04 and my sixty foot times were damn near always flat 2.0 with an occasional 1.99.

Since then I've installed a high flow a/c, an N65C needle and a TC88A. The scoot goes like a rocket throughout most of the rev range.

However, now it bogs down badly on the launch. I've tried increasing the launch revs. All that does is get the front wheel higher, (looks great) but the bike damn near stalls about half a second after I dump the clutch. My reaction times have suffered & my sixty foot times are down to 2.1 - 2.2 sconds. I'm covering the second half of the track quicker as my ETs are down by .4 on average and my top speed is up by almost 2mph. If I can get moving without that pause while she bogs, I'll wring another 2 tenths of my ET (wishful thinking).

Is bogging down normal after changing over to a high flow air/fuel setup on a V-Twin?

It feels like the increased fuel flow is too much when the load goes on and the manifold pressure peaks.

I've tried a very aggressive timing map (thanks Rico) but the problem didn't change.

Once the rig is moving it hauls!

Any tips on curing the bogging problem?

My thouhgt would be to launch at a higher rpm and slip the clutch. You described dumping the clutch which leads me to believe that you may be a little to aggressive with it. jes a guess!

Have you installed some type of power commander to help with the fuel map???
And yes, slipping the clutch will help in the bogging.....
