rear shock help
ok all you drag race fans whats the best way to set up the rear shock for good consistant launches. I weigh about 210 when dressed.

ya, all stock but will slam this year, went 1.62 lowered 1 in, is geared 17/50

The general take is soft compression and hard rebound damping, but I guess you'll need to get the stock shock revalved for it to respond to adjustments. Or you can pony up the cash for a Fox, Penske, Ohlins shock. I had Works Performance set up a pair of shocks for strip duty, very reasonable.

if i run hard rebound will that make the headshakes worse?

What most people are concerned with is the launch, where you want to absorb the weight transfer without lifting the front wheel, and hold it, instead of 'pogoing' back on the front tire, upsetting the chassis and losing traction. If headshakes are a problem, maybe get a damper.
