ZX12 rods
My rod big ends are out of round by 0.02-0.03 mm / 0.0007-0.001". Is it necessary to resize them? From what I read it is ok to reuse the bolts 2-3 times, is that right? This will be the 2. torque. I know I must replace the bolts/nuts if I have the rods resized. The oem Kawasaki main/rod bearings and other parts are quite expensive where I live, is there a cheaper place to get them from?

A friend of mine is a long time Kawasaki guy (used to own a dealership) and when I inquired about reusing the rod bolts in my 14 he was adament that I buy new ones. He used several examples of ZX12's rod bolts failing
My 2 cents

If you keep a record of the rod bolt stretch each time you torque the bolts you van reuse them. If they stretch more to get the proper yield (stretch) then the bolt is going soft and must be replaced.
When you replace the bolts you need to resize the rods or at least have then checked for roundness on the big end.
These bike rods are known for going egg shaped. When this happens you will have good oil clearance but not enough clearance on the sides and you will spin a bearing when the crank and rods get hot.
To measure the stretch you need a stretch gauge and you must dimple drill the rod bolts.
