yes ill be using a rubber fill tube
ill look into using the zx9 cap, but the stock one works for now

the next step should be done alone, as taking a dremmel to the paint may make you feel like crying... but it IS worth it in the end . ill trim the bottom off of the cut out piece but it will sit kinda like this, fiberglassed on

say hello to the new home for the ecu and a bunch of other stuff

KZScott

did you finished your fuek tank cover ?? and how ? with fiberglass ??

fiberglass will work at the stock plastic tank cover ?

thx

That part on the right is what the cap assembly looks like underneath.

I have a new spare that wil fit perfectly with a very minor amount work.

how are you guys venting the tank when the stock cap assembly isn't used?
check valves? are they oriented to allow the tank to pressure up, and then the valve opens to prevent a vacuum?

I was thinking pressuring the tank would only help the pump, and venting suction to prevent tank collapse?

finally getting back to this. need to let it fully harden then add some body fill
be sure to rough up the surface before trying to get fiberglass to stick. i used a wire wheel on a drill. fyi, the resin doesnt need ANY help sticking to your fingers. i may have to wear gloves next time i do something like this....

should help get me lower for the launch, and still look ok, i hate the look of a half tank

thanks Mike

the regulator and fuel pressure gauge from the holley blue pump going to the wet kit will be sitting on the rad hose just forward of the clutch. visable looking down, but mostly hidden looking directly from the side. the factory fuel reg is still on the fuel rail

i have room to hide the whole thing, but want easy acess to adjust fuel pressure so I can tweak AFR without going into the air box and switching jets

How about the rectifier which is attached to the chain side of the subframe? Did you move this forward also?

thx Shane, you should try something similar with your 14. I found my ribs were hitting this area and preventing me from getting as far forward as i wanted while still having my ass in the seat. it was either hover on the tank way up, face by the gauges (not good, i slid on the launch) or sit down, but back. (better, no slide, but need to get weight forward). this gets me the best of both.

WB?
