lock up pressure plate clearance
has anyone tried to run lower than the minimum clearance between the arms and the pressure plate? my fibers were worn a bit, so i was playing around with a setup tonight after the nitrous run. using the 2.0 steels, if i took one out and put in a 1.6, i was able to get an extra fiber and 1.6mm steel in with 75 thou of clearance. basically running the same amount of fibers and steels as stock, but all but 2 are the thicker muzzys ones. the muzzy kit makes you take one steel and fiber out to get the right stack height due to the thick steels.
i tried it first with about 50 thou and it didnt really let me pull the lever far enough. that was with a full set of 2.0s and one 1.6, but at 75 it felt ok. mtc calls for 100 to 125, but i have heard of guys running as much as 140. will 75 give me problems? am i going to gain much of anything with the extra fiber?
im kinda worried ill warp the thin steels all to hell, but im turning my 2 step down, so hopefully ill have a calmer launch....

More adjustment has to be made for that.........
I would not advise it for your set up. It will get nasty earlier in the run......., or try to bust the tire loose earlier.........
