problem air shifting

if the switching valve is activated just 20ms before the engine is killed, it wont shift right? the SV is mounted directly on the air ram. I think the "bounce" from the relay in dads setup is causing the SV to activate before the motor is killed. i tried adding 21ms to the kill time tonight(to 63), but it still wont shift. my next move is to add a relay to the SV circuit and see if that will solve the problem(equal bounce/delay).... any quick n easy suggestions that i can try before the wknd if another relay doesnt work?

i tried adding a relay, no change, added another 20ms of kill time, no change. bike will shift if you let off the gas and unload the motor. this leads me to believe the motor is not being killed properly

for those of you who havent been following progress on dads bike, we have the computer (2 step CPU) from the old style NLR 2 step/ kill box. we dont have the old style kill box (RCI-1), we have the new style(IKM-001). the activation signal coming from the 2 step cpu is pos. the IKM-001 requires a neg activation signal, so im using the pos signal from the 2 step cpu activating a relay to ground the IKM-001( turning a pos activation signal into a neg activation signal)

another reason i think the motor isnt being killed properly. on my bike, i have the complete 2 step and old style kill box setup. when i first hooked it up, i didnt follow the instructions to a T and randomly hooked up the wires going to the coils. it killed the motor when the button was shifted, and would 2 step at low throttle position, but not full throttle. i only had one of the wires in the correct position. the kill box is coil specific. after the 4 wires were hooked up correctly, it 2 stepped like it was supposed to. i didnt try to airshift with the coil wires hooked up wrong. on dads new kill box, im thinking the wires must be coil specific aswell. it 2 steps, but is rougher than mine. maybe 2 of 4 are correct on dads? they arent labled, so there are a ton of options to see if is coil specific
we may end up running no 2 step, and just using the auto shifter box with the IKM for this wknd. mine will be setup with the 2 step, but button shifted untill i get the hub for my pc

couple things to check.

Make sure the shift level is not sticking and returns completely between shifts.
Unhook the air to the SV and make sure it is killing on the stand,
and that the kill time adjusts.
