First "big" win

Went to the Semdra event last weekend and had a good day in the Pro-ET class. I think I had to go about 7 rounds for the win.
This was my first "big" win and was made extra special because I hadn't been on the bike in six months !! maybe I should take more time off... I also had done a bunch of major rewiring of the bike to try and cure a pretty major electrical gremlin I've been chasing for a while and wasn't sure if the bike was even going to run right.... I'm pretty sure the gremlin is finally dead.....
The weekend wasn't without some drama... during the rewire job I made a custom fairing stay / instrument panel which now has just a master toggle switch to turn on the bike. So as I'm packing up I said to myself... "Don't have to remember to pack the key anymore, one less thing to forget to bring to the track" So now I'm up at the track and and ready to fill the fuel tank...oops.... I guess I still need the key to get fuel into the tank. What a dumbass !! Any hoo I had to take the tank off and fill it through the fuel pump panel with a full load of 5 gallons so it would last the day. Everybody was coming by thinking I was having some kind of major problem. They all got a kick out of my stupidity. But as it turned out I was the one to have the last laugh !!
Now that I've got the electronics straigtened out I'll be posting up some threads here in the near future on the quest to get the bike to run super-comp numbers (8.90) with a "stock" motor. Stay tuned.... Later, Roy
