I forgot to mention, my fuel system is 50 psi. I use very small fuel jets

50 psi will make the lean spike smaller. have you thought about a secondary set of injectors instead of the fuel solenoid and tiny jets? with jets that small, just a tiny piece of dirt or lint could be the cause of a melted piston. i thought my jets are tiny and i run 4 psi

i got the rest of my hard lines finished, and half of my dry kit. i tested for leaks in my nitrous and fuel lines and im glad i did! my NOS nitrous solenoid stuck open several times. ill have to get a rebuild kit, and i should probly do the fuel solenoid while im at it, the kit is over 5 yrs old, (its been in my buddys garage since he tried it on his zrt and had problems) but for now i swapped it out for a dynotune nitrous solenoid, and added another dynotune solenoid for the dry shot(i have 3 dynotune solenoids, so i still have 1 spare ) i had enough of the hard lines leftover to go from under the seat to the front of the tank, split into 2, and go more than halfway up the ram air tubes. im setting up both of the nitrous solenoids to turn on at the same time. the one for the wet kit will be instant(as soon as i hit second gear), and the one for the dry kit will have a slight delay, and will be a nice soft hit(probly half way thru second, and shouldnt affect wheelies too bad). my version of a progressive controller on the cheap using stuff i allready have

Yup I've done a bit of logging. I have seen the lean spike too. My bike is an 03 so it has a single regulated fuel line to the injectors that I tapped into. I have not logged fuel pressure, but I assume it dropped momentarily when the nitrous is activated. I am currently upgrading most of the fuel plumbing on the bike.
I am installing a proper fuel system loop that should help keep the pressure constant.

The fuel travels from the pump and filter,
to a T that goes to the injector rail,
then another T to the nitrous system,
then the pressure regulator that holds everything before it to 50psi,
and then a return line to the tank.

Hopefully this setup will eliminate pressure fluctuation.
I think I'm gonna order a pressure sender so I can log fuel pressure too

KZ, I do worry about contaminants in the jets. I meticulously clean every fuel system component before its installed. During the install, I keep all the openings caped or taped shut until they are connected to prevent contaminants from entering. Last weekend, I got a brass fitting at the hardware store that looked perfectly clean, but I ran an alcohol soaked Q-tip through it to just to make sure. The Q-tip came out covered in brass shavings!!

Scott, to the casual observer that system looks scary!!

I'd say that you're either going to go 8's....or, well, I don't want to say. I'd run as much octane as you can and pull a lot of timing. A 30 hp jump is pretty big.

Are you monitoring bottle pressure? I'd hate to see you get a lot more nitrous this time out than you planned for!

yeah, i have a gauge. i got a heater this time too. last wknd i was heating the bottle with a guys generator exhaust LOL
pressure was in the 950 range before each pass
i could run c16 in the small tank, but im just going with 91, i want the "pump gas" bragging rights. later on i might lean it out some and run c16
