Why I think ZX12 suxs
so this customer comes in with a zx12 and wants me to make 300hp out of it.
I try and then he is pissed because it didn't
12's just suck I know for a fact a Busa would have madce the 300.

I don't know about that hp curve....I think you need to degree the cams or something. Too big of a power spike.

Thank you Mr. Cheese, your awsome!!!! You are the man when it comes to getting power out of an old 12!!!! You all should see what he does to Busas, it is crazy out of line!!!!
Yep, going ultra conservative with fuel, a/f, and timming..............I'm scared, but JC is not, he knows what he has built is very strong.
After Maxton and Texas we'll have to post up what it runs on motor with a little timming in.
P.S. : That motor still has a lot left in it!!! If you noticed I asked JC to drop it a little early on the RPMs.

297 is 300!!!
Just like the 12 is 1198cc's...a 1270 is a 13 and 1375 is a 14 !!!

Wow, that's a lot of timing taken out. Do you have to take more timing out with nitrous than with a turbo?

is that 12 from stock timing, or 12 from an advanced setting(4-5 maybe?) for all motor?

214.xxx mph, but I'll just be happy getting to run, having the bike hold together, and enjoying some good food and folks. I am right around 248lbs, so it's a little harder to get out of the wind, plus I am not a good rider, and an idiot quite often.

Nope, got a Muzzy SS one. I do have to say the old CF can did hold up to all my Dyno runs, and all my Texas Mile runs over the years until just this last summer. I can't complain at all.
I do need to get a new EFIR as my current one has some glitches as you can see on the graph, but that'll have to wait a little longer.

Just saw your post way up there. Yeah, it would have gone past 300HP @ 11,000 rpm , but JC can't have some old 12 running that kind of number in his shop, so he cut it early.

i dont think you will have much luck getting a new one. I think Schnitz may have 1 or 2, but they arent even listed anymore. we need to get MSD to make the SB6 for the 12....

i hate to say it but i think the days of the 12 getting any new parts are over. i have talked to schnitz about the sb6 for the 12 and its not going to happen.

Yep, don't that just suck! Guess you just have to buy thier heavy dollar stuff, like pro series II or something like that. I hate to go over to the dark side, but I might just have to run that Busa!
