1327 z1, She's a runner!!!!
Finally had time to finish up this project. Here is a recap.
1975 Z1 900/1327
68" wheelbase
RC wheels, Gremica Brakes, Konig roters, DG six over arm, Macintosh 8Degree rake, Lots of custom parts made by me. Painted by a one of the best painters in MI, Pete Stibbe.
Web cams 425 lift, 1327cc MTC Jug and pistons 10.5-1, Shnitz top gas head with 32.5in and 28mm ex valves(I think?? Can't remember anymore!) Ti retainers, R&D trans, pearson 900 crank with big center pin.... The list is never ending!!!!!!!!
Fired pretty much right up and sounds good!!!!!! Will not idle but I am not concerned yet about that. Just want to put some heat to it so I can get the rings to seat and then retourque.
Next day, double check everything and find out that #4 cylinder is lean as hell! Start looking around and the slide on the carbs is broken!!! No wonder it wouldn't idle. Put a different set of carbs on and runs great!! 150+ HP on my butt dyno. Pulls the front end up doing third gear rollons!!! Impressed. Can't wait to go pick on unsuspecting Busa's, 1000's 9's.... Will post a picture in a few days of the finished project once I get it cleaned up. Here is one right after I installed the engine.
