Good eyes, Pete.
That mill works incredibly well. Cheap Turkish? import, works better than any pepper mill i've ever had.
And yes, the dishwasher works great to clean parts!

difference would be a preheated oven and even heat whereas the dishwasher has a heating element on the bottom.I suppose with the hot water wash, it is warmed anyway.A guy on the other side of the valley from me and did only Harley motors(big Jim) had one outside his garage and used it to clean all the engine parts before he worked on them.Well respected man in the harley commune. He must be about 80yo now but would recite specs such as 1938 carb vent diameters.

Used parts in the dishwasher would be an automatic call to sears for a new
Stainless Dishwasher with all the bells, or no dinner for months.
Maybe it wouldn't be too hard to install the old one in the shop.
