Crank trivial info

2002 crank 26lbs
2001 crank 24 lbs
2001 crank with 2002 flywheel, 23 lbs

on ye old walmart bathroom scale. We will see what kind of difference it makes in et if any next season.

different crank weights !!

and different alternator / flywheel !!! i know -- they are different !!!!!

Nox, you will need to check the balance on that combo. If the flywheel is neutral then its no big deal but if it isnt then it could cause problems. Spin it up with the flywheel on the crank to check.

recheck your weights, noway it weighs less with the flywheel than without.
I know of a 2002 with 2000 crank that has been around from a while.
seems to be holding together pretty well. everything except crank is 02 .

im guessing he means 01 crank + 01 flywheel is 24 pounds meaning the 02 flywheel is a pound lighter than the 01 flywheel

Sorry, the first two figures were with the flywheels, of the same year and crank, assembled.

2002 crank and flywheel, 26lbs
2001 crank and flywheel, 24 lbs
2001 crank, with 2002 flywheel, 23 lbs.

Before I did this, I made some calls. Coby Adams said go for it, no probs at all, and it will be balanced just the same, only lighter.

Maybe 02 cover as well? Connectors are a little different as well between 00-01 and 02+, but that should be easy to rectify (no pun intended).

I have an 02. All else is going back stock, except the 2001 crank.

Yes, if you did a flywheel swap on a 2001 , you would have to change it..........

Do I still get to call the motor "stock", lol
