Have any of you guys bent the countershaft before?
My chain is wobbling back and forth from side to side, I pulled the c/s cover and watched the sproket wobble on the end of the shaft... No its not loose ... LOL
I pulled the c/s sproket back off and definately alotof run out on the shaft.... argggh
Noticed it before and thought it may be a bad chain, but new sprokets and chain just installed , good stuff too vortex sprokets and 530 drzzz chain.....
Looks like I'll have to install a new countershaft when I stroke the biotch this winter...
Weird, I dont recall any reason for this...

I have broken a chain back when running pro et with my 12. if it had not snapped, i would have broken or bent the countershaft..........

i never heard of a 12's CS shaft getting bent. Very weird.
Come to think of it, i've never heard of those 2 big bearings in the trans going bad either.
Time to split the cases and see what's up.
Get after it, I'm curious!!!!

I also have heard and seen a LOT of things other people have not and this is a first for me also! Bear Racing is "STILL" running the same shaft on his 00 and the bike has about 10,000 Miles 90% From Serious Drag Racing on Flat Drag Slicks using Traction VHT and NOS

My bike came with some cosmetic crate damage....
Damaged wheel, and lowers, and both mid pipes were damaged as well....
I am thnking that is the cause... waranty is over now....
I would rather not have anyone working on my bike anyway, and thus the lack of concern.
It will be fixed when I install the pistons, rods, and stroker crank.

My Dealer and I had a good understanding! I would bring my bike over and show them what was wrong and get the warranty work approved by Kawasaki! The I would take what ever it was apart and bring them the Bad part and get the New or different part and install it myself! I got the parts and they got the Little Warranty payment and we were BOTH 100% Happy with the results! The Last work they ever did on a ike of mine was an 1983 VFR750F and they hand tightened the drain Plug, then scratched the fairing when they picked it up to repair it! Then they sold me a West Coast ZX11 with all of the emission Charcoal Cannisters that it took a while to remove and replace everything! After these events, Niether of us had any problem with my last agreement!

Yea a 14.
I weigh 210 suited.
I have not heard of anyone else having this problem... It was crate damage I am almost 100% certain. I thought it was the old chain , thought maybe I had a stretched section, but it is still the same after throwing new drivetrain on it.
I pulled the chain off last night and ran it , the shaft is bent....
bearings are good, err no apparent play anyway... and the seal is good.....
