launch master on a zx12r
anybody using the--- msd launch master --rev limiter on a zx12r. it's a new product from want i can see.

I know a guy in St. Louis made the launch master, it was like a mechanical switch that would kill a couple of cylinders it must have worked, it was outlawed for use in prostar...
I believe his name was dave. chatted with him a few times...

i have read they are having trouble with them. zx12r and busas ---fi-lite comes on and air fuel mix goes wacko.i talked to msd and the are checking into it.
MAN I WANT A STUDDER BOX.

(I know a guy in St. Louis made the launch master)-----------his name is Don.i want a studder box. he makes an anti-wheelie devise.i like power wheelies.i know they kill et for the most part but that where the real fight is for me.lots a fun. i have race him i guess 6 times at gateway. real nice guy.he has 3 zx12r's and a zx6.
i ran 9.6 and he ran 10.2

It is a basicly a studder box triggered by the front fork travel.
You CAN'T use it with a strap. Best to have forks internally shorten.
When the front extends fully (wheelie) it kill (studders )
the engine until you loose enough acceleration for the front end to compress off the switch.
you can kill 2 or 4 cyclinders depending on how hard you want to studder.
This is from conversations with Ryan Schnitz a year or so ago.

Ninja your thinking of a different device. The MSD launch master is a purely electronic device. It doesn't have any kind of contraption that attaches to the forks like the launch master your thinking of. They are two different deals..

very violent......., must run a lock up with one of these............
This is what you hear when pro stock bike is on the starting line..............
I still have mine wired, I just dont turn it on. Used it when running pro et with a slick and bars................

If someone has figured out how to get the launch master to work on a zx-14 please advise. I can get it to work off of a frame ground but not off of the clutch switch.... any ideas?

called MSD.... they didn't know ... They said to ground to frame which works, however you still have to have a activation off of the clutch switch.... If you ground straight to the frame it is always on.... Does that make sense to anyone ???????????

is the clutch switch on a zx14 negative or positive and is it a normally open or normally closed switch.

Add a relay using the clutch to activate the relay.
