Clutch basket loose

My billet clutch basket seems to be getting a bit on the loose side. The inner billet assembly can be moved fairly easily. I believe it to be the cause of the clutch not being as smooth as it used to be on launch. It seems that it has to move an eighth of an inch or so before the springs even engage. I called Muzzy, and they say the only fix is to buy another basket. (New from Kaw). It seems someone would be able to dissasemble the thing and put in some new or stiffer springs. Anyone else have this problem and know of a fix?

Try calling Falicon 727 797-2468. If anyone can revive a clutch basket they can. Of course they'll want to sell you their billet basket, which is probably a good idea. I'm thinking about one myself.

That's what it is. A falicon billet basket. I'll call them and see what they have to say.

Guess I should read more carefully. The "new basket, from Kawasaki" part threw me I think. Good luck.
