are there any soft 240s out there!

I just picked up a sweet zx14 fresh out the box baby! H2O cycles has a 240 kit,10 over arm, chrome 2lb nitrous bottel,Jacksonville Powersports hooked me up with a Muzzy sidewinder and PC3.Stock Mild to Wild provided me with a TRE. Now I just need to put the rubber to the road in case I need to line up against any Hyaboobsters.

If you really need traction, I think you'd be better off with a standard sized rim, but I dunno, maybe someone makes a functional 240 tire. They are more show than go.

Congrats on the bike, good choice.

Dean

You'd do better with a 180/55 Shinko Ultra soft on a stock rim.

the other option... is to buy a bottle of VHT... they sell it in the 1 gallon size and then you do a small burnout in the VHT. it will make your tire real sticky for 1 or 2 passes... I have personally never tried it but I have a friend who uses it all of the time, he has a 900 Honda that is bored out...
it sure would not hurt to try it... you would be out a lot less then a tire costs...

I've never seen a 240 with the soft compound.
Most of the zx12s and busas around can burn them at will.
Still a cool idea, show and go.
Good luck with the vht, but be very careful it's like industrial glue if you ever spill it.

they did "slow" smooth burnouts... I am assuming so It did not fling the crap everywhere...
Yea I have a couple of passes under my belt...

Any burnout is going to result in a fun clean-up.
With VHT a little goes a long way, so probably not much worst than usual.

if it is anything to do with motorcycles I would double or tripple that time... they might have some samples at the dealer show, but probably not production ready... I hope so though for your sake...

I saw on pirelli site they have a 240 zr rated semi compound tire. I had the same idea. How do you like the supercharger on your 10. I was thinking about that for the 14.

man its pretty cool, its controllable so it allows you let people leave or you can sleep the light and boost pass that azz. its like sitting on a rocket where as a turbo you cant predict how the boost is going to kick at high boost.but I have two stroker motor 10s one built by Coby Adams the other by twoboyz racing, though they are hella fast(the coby does 8.40 1/4 @179 on motor)they are not streetable. And the twoboyz is a bigger motor. My 14 will only have a fitty shot in case a busa gets out of hand! Jason at calisuperbikes is cool he'll be able to hook you up.But good luck that should be crazy power.
