Took 2nd at Schnitz/IMSTAR Shootout
Headed down to the track (Maryland Intl Raceway) on Friday night and on Sunday this past weekend.
Friday was the Speed Unlimited Midnight Madness series (which is a weekly event) streetbike bracket racing. Made it a couple rounds then I ended up eliminating myself by accidentally backing out of the staging beems and redlighting because I staged too shallow... rookie mistake oh well I had fun! Friday night photos here: http://www.dontbescaredracing.com/photos/events/051002
Sunday was the IMSTAR/Schnitz Racing Streetbike Shootout at MIR also bracket racing. I did a little better in the brackets but was way off on ET because I was trying new gearing that wheelied too much for a stock arm (and I need more practice). Went thru the semi-finals and on to eliminate myself (again) when I red-lighted with a .495 in the final round! Oh well, took 2nd place $50 and a trophy and had a great time!
I think you'll like the photos from the Sunday event here: http://www.dontbescaredracing.com/photos/events/051202 Some girls from the bikini contest asked to do a photosession on our bikes so they can promote future events on their website.
Here is a sample to draw your attention

Enjoy!

thanks
Thanks! Even though I was way off the pace it was bracket racing so it didn't matter. Someone took this launch photo and I'm glad because now I have an idea of how high up the bike sits under load on the middle adjustment hole with the muzzys links.

With it all the way down it doesnt meet the rules for 2" minimum ground clearance and with the middle hole it's well above 2". I may end up having some custom length links made to get it right at 2" sometime this Summer.

...nice pics!
I've noticed the same thing about the muzzy dog bones.
A quick fix would be to just adjust the rebound, but you probably already thought of that.
or, you could buy the adjustable one's from Spencers or Kennedy's. I like them. Make's adjustments a "do it anywhere" affair, and only takes a few minutes.
