I also have an MRE junior (no one but Hardleys needs the big one) and an MPS kill box too, it works perfectly. Get a DOT tank, and if you want to save yourself a bunch of hassle, get a regulator and fill up your bottle with CO2/N20, and forget about it. I filled 1lb bottle twice last year. Call Jamie at MRE 800 237 7223, she's very nice (and a hottie too...)

Of course the Muzzy shifter is beautiful and designed specifically for the 12, requires no welding, cutting, fits perfectly in the tail, uses high pressure & a regulator. Hard to beat, as long as the regulator is set high.

Sure Mike, call MRE and tell them you want to upgrade to a high pressure system. Jay will get you a new bottle valve, some aeroquip fittings, and a 140psi regulator, and you're good to go. I run nitrous in mine, it's the easiest to find around here. This is how the Muzzy system is set up. You fill the tank with a pound of liquid and it lasts a LONG time.

Thanks Karl, it only took me about 20 hours or so... It was a very solemn moment when the pilot hole cut into the tailsection, then many gradual steps with the Dremel. The shift cylinder fit perfectly into the lower tab for the passenger peg, and tucked neatly behind the heel guard. All it needed was a 3" plate.

I forgot to mention above that the electric over air is a much easier/cleaner setup, and allows you to use your horn button.

ZRXDean,
The hole in the tail section is what I like the best, prolly because I NEVER would have thought of doing it that way.

Goddamn clever! The bottle fits inside the "trunk" AND you have external capabity to shut down the bottle and take pressure off the system when not in use. very damn cool!

My Muzzy is still missing the odd shifts.I just got it about 1 1/2 weeks ago.Someone mentioned muzzy sent out shims for the regulator but i would of thought this was fixed before i purchased mine?Any other ideas?Theres lots of kill and the shifter does look a little lazy. Also almost never shifts in the burnout?
