46 vs 48mm TB's on 1427

As long as i was loading pix, i scanned and loaded some dyno pulls

at Tejas dyno, Sept 10&13; 46 vs 48mm TB's; AF OK but not perfect
CF = 1.02, STD

48mm TB's, SPAZ tuned AF real close
CF = 1.01, STD

I've been hearing about this upgrade for awhile.
What does it take to upgrade to 48mm TBs ?
Can you buy them or do they have to be machined?
Will my Muzzy Gold stacks fit the 48mm TBs?
How much work is it to do the job?

Thanks for your help!

Megabyte,
The 48's are just bored out OEM TB's with 2mm bigger butterfly's. I don't know know who sells em; MM gave me a set he had laying around. The Muzzy stacks are 46mm, i got 48's from Bear Racing in S Africa. Not much work to mount them, just takes a bit of shaping the rubber TB holders.

Orient Express does them $650(48mm to just past the butterfly and then
a little tapper at the end), I have heard of some other places for a little
cheaper. Usually for a busa they run around $400-$500.
What are the butterfly's made of on your set aluminum, stainless steel,
or brass?
