Poll Question:
06 grudge race, when???

I am sure there are plenty of great tracks, maybe even more central than MIR, but lets concentrate on the date, and assume MIR (for now).

1. What mo do you vote for

2. note any weekends which are absolutely out, e.g. Maxton, Texas Shootout, Texas Mile etc

3. maybe give an indication if you are positively in, or just thinking about it

Funny you should mention the "tire incedent" (which thanx again Vincent Hill for all the help)
because that was'nt the only one last year. Later in the year I was getting my rig together to go to eddyville to race with MadMike (about a 2 1/2 hr trip) and ever since the "tire incedent" in DC with Chads trailer I have been doin' a better pre-trip inspection , so I notice a bulge in one of my trailer tires and I (unlike Chad) have a spare and so no problem I changed it.
Fastforward to 2 hrs 15 min latrer about 15 min from the track I'm rollin along and BOOM my brand new fullsize spare that I had just put on exploded and flopped around at 70 mph and ripped the fender off my trailer. So I had to put the lumpy tire on and go to wal -mart and buy another tire. needless to say i hope this year treats my traler better.

I propose we shoot for Friday October 6th, the day before MIR event.

Two reasons:

It's always better to go for a day before the MIR event so people that travel can stay in town for the entire MIR event to make it worth the travel time.

Some people will have summer vacation conflicts with the June/July dates, plus it would be hot as hell.

Dates to avoid for the Grudge Race...

June 3-4
July 8-9
Aug 19-20 and 26-27
Sept 9-10 and 23-24

Those are the Hardcore series races. I will be at all of them and I would guess MadMike and DWB will also be unavailable those weekends...

A day or two ago. Not long.

Check 2wheelspeed's website.

Note: Mike that last race in Sept is not a points race. It will be at Cedar Falls. Same rules and money. Just no points.

Jason Miller emailed me back, see below:
**********************************************************************************************
Hey Karl!
Glad you guys had a good time, and sure I would love to have you guys back. I was able to keep pricing the same this year as it has been in the past. Here are the dates for the 2006 season.

Friday, April 14, 2006
Friday, May 12, 2006
Friday, June 2, 2006 (Friday before MIROCK event)
Friday, July 7, 2006
Friday, July 28, 2006 (Friday before MIROCK event)
Friday, August 18, 2006
Friday, October 6, 2006 (Friday before MIROCK event)

We can do the same deal as last time (normal rate is $2,000). That will include food for those 20 riders. Any additional riders is $100 per rider and you can settle up on the day of the seminar for those riders. And I just need a head count for any additional crew, family members, etc, for the caterer at $10 per person, and that too can be settled up the day of the seminar. Also, you can just get me the name of the riders a few days before the seminar would be great!

I have riders booked already for April and May dates, but they are not full yet.

So far all the other dates are completley open. I do have one request though. I have a deal worked out with Rick Mazzola from New York. I Am letting him attend all my seminars in 2006 at no charge for a sponsorship. Rick is great guy and he promotes my seminars very well and sends me alot of business and him and I are working on a few other things for 2006 as well. So any date that you pick I would really appreciate it if you could allow him in at no charge please. I will discount your fee by $100 if you could do this for me so the total would only be $1900 and I will still let you have 20 spots not including Rick Mazzola's spot.

I am leaving today for a cruise vacation, and I will be back in 1 week. If this is something you want to do, just drop a check in the mail for the $1900 and the date you want, and if your phone numbers have changed and I will call you when I get back which will be next Friday.

Talk to you later Karl!

Will Jason allow payment per person until we figure out a month and day to hold the event? Do we need another poll as to where we will have this event?

Not this year the IHRA Division 5(for ken) ET Finals are at US 131motorsports park from Sept 28th to Oct 1st....
it is in Martin, MI

Ken it is not an "open" event, you must qualify by racing for a track at least 5 times during the year and usually a track will only take 5 bikes... so top 5 in points go usually.
