So Memphis "IS" Closer to the Middle of the country and a lot better "on Average" for the people that went Thousands of miles last time will go Hundreds this time. Seems fair to me!

Entropy,
The 2 products zrxdean listed are exactly what I use and work very good. I also use an adjustable timing wheel and set it 1 1/2 degree advanced beyond what I need, as the retard box adds 1 1/2 degree retard just being installed.
The problem I had in Maryland was due to the 3 bolts in the adj. timing wheel comeing loose. If you choose to use one, do like I did when I got back & really tighten those suckers up hard. I even took a dremmel and gound a groove in them so I could get a flat screwdriver on them for some real torque.

I think the consensus is to enter the $100, all-bike test-n-tune on Sept 30, the day before the Prostar race at Memphis Motorsports Park. This is relatively cheap, needs no organization or money up front, and gets us a little farther NW for those who really trekked last time. Renting a track is very spendy, and MIR is too far for those in the heartland and beyond. Maybe another Miller seminar at MIR would be good for Grudge 3?
Who's in? Kevin will be there, and I KNOW Ra12r is eager to show up and back up his mouth. Right??? Hello? Anybody? Bueller???

Dean,
I am in! Got ALL my parts to put it together including some very trick pistons from Noonan/JE .
But i'm hitting the road again on Wed and won't get it running for a few weeks. Should be fine for Sept 30. Yep!
How about you, everything running fine??

I will hopefully test the new Kallina head on the dyno tonite - and the track tomorrow - I am curious how much there is to be gained with headwork on a boosted motor. We shall see.
I need to work on the launch, still trying to work around the boost lag and taller gearing - but the big end is doing just fine Looking forward to Memphis for sure - gonna have my chit figured out by then if it kills me.
Safe travels Karl- I will be traveling myself to 2 conferences in Sept, will be a busy month.

Actually, yes, one in Havana and the other in Lisbon. Too bad I don't habla espanol. but I'm psyched for the music and food, old cars, etc.
The dyno went well - I will post before / after charts and pics soon, but basically the Kallina head bought me 28hp at 14psi and about 15hp at 30psi, where my turbo runs out of efficiency. But peak numbers are deceptive - the area under the curve is much more impressive. Turbo likes good head for sure (don't we all) Tonite we'll see if I can put it to use - gonna try to work on clutch tuning at Gville TNT.
Hopefully will be ready to make some passes in Memphis this time.

Dean,
ohhhhhhhhhh... Habana!!!!
Cuba has been on my hit list for years; I envy you.
In the early 80's lived for 2 years in Cascaid, Portugal, about 30mi W of Lisbon. Great food if you like seafood; sardinhas na brasa, chocos grelhadas, jacinzinhos fritas... mmmm...
Greeat that the head work gave you such a strong improvement. Draw a curve thru those 2 points and extrapolate to 55hp gain at no boost.
