OK; this is getting a little expensive. We might be going back to MIR

Memphis requires that groups renting the track get their own insurance - $1500-1800. The track rental incl. EMS is $2500 on top of that, based on 20 bikes. So about $215 each. This is for a weekday in Sept - Oct, 8-5pm.

Is anyone interested in a $100 pre-Prostar or Pre-MIR/Rock test-n-tune deal?

I'm gonna try Valdosta now.

Dean

I just got off the phone with the Rock - and they have bike test-n-tunes the Friday before every MIR/Rock race 10am-5pm, for $50 a bike/rider. The also have an open test-n-tune every Fri nite 6-10pm for $15. That's a lot of track time. 7 hours day time, with track prep, and not many bikes - most people wait til 6pm.

ROCK:
10am-6pm; $50 per bike:

Fri July 22
Fri Sept 16
Fri Nov 18

The Rock is offering an open test and tune for 50$ a bike that we can join in?Jason Miller offers us the track exclusively, access to the Tower and a hot lunch along with his seminars which are pretty good.Jason treated us like VIP'S,I don't think we will get a better deal anywhere! I vote for MIR.

Either works for me, if its the ROCK I vote for Sept 16. July 22'nd isn't much time for those with bike currently down to get them back together let alone people that need to heal. Anyone inquired about MIR pricing details?

I am not saying MIR did not ROCK!! because it did! but it is a Long Way! and I am going to have a very hard time traveling that far again. I mean I spent at least $700 just in Gas.... the next one is going to have to be closer.
I will make some calls. Chicago, Indy, there are a lot of "great" small tracks also!

How about the Friday before the Memphis Prostar race? They typically have a bike-only test-n-tune for around $100, and if you want, you can stick around and enter the Prostar race or just watch.

Memphis is Oct 1-2. So the TNT would be Sept 30. I'm gonna call now and confirm.

Valdosta is Southern Georgia mlb. http://www.sgmpracing.com/

OK, they don't have details yet, but Memphis will have a bike-only test-n-tune the day before the Prostar race. Prolly $100/bike 10-5 kinda thing. Sounds good to me.

Here's the latest. Not sure if the Miller seminar is still open. I'm voting for Memphis, to give our wasteland members a break. It looks to be most centrally located.

Memphis Sept 30th 10am-5pm $100 / bike (Pre Prostar race)

MIR Aug 26th 9am-5pm $200 / bike (Pre MIRock race)

MIR Sept 30 Miller seminar $100 / bike.

Rock Sept 16th 10am-5pm $50 / bike (Pre MIRock race)

Rock Nov 16th 10am-5pm $50 / bike (Pre MIRock race)

About 750 miles for me to Memphis.

Think about last time- Entropy & Buddy went over 1300 miles to get to Maryland. Mike spent over $700 in gas.

Memphis sounds cool.

Could swing through Townsend for a day or four... and make it a DG trip
