ZRX rotors (310mm, I think the same as ZX) are 3 lb 6 oz. How much are the Galfers?

Dean... the Galfers run about $260 each.
Didnt notice the Wave rotors weight when I had them... wasnt really concerned with weight..more of stopping powa.
My AP full floating rotors weigh 2.5lbs each.
For the rear.. going to the full Grimeca setup in the rear saves about 4lbs on the ZX12.
You lose the big spacer/caliper hanger, the caliper, and stock disc.

Steve. Did you use a bathroom scale? We have gone as far as going to the local Wal-Mart and used the fruit/vegetable scale......that gave us accurate readings.
Dean, did you weigh those rotors or is that a spec you found? The Kawi parts #s are very similar to the ZX's #'s. I would imagine the weight is very comparable or the same.
Of course braking is improved with these aftermarket rotors but they assist in the handling and acceleration dept too. Even though they are not cheap, they give benefits in several areas which makes it a worthwhile part to acquire...IMHO
Of course you can always get the titanium rotor bolts and save a little over 3 ounces total in rotating mass. Every little ounce counts, right?

Steve, I used a postal scale. One that weighs up to 5lbs and one that weighs up to 10lbs to weigh these parts.
I will agree... that braking is vastly improved with even the EBCs... (about $175/rotor). The stockers work good up to a point... when the get really hot they start to fade.
yes the Ti rotor bolts are nice too. $11 a pop...
Think Fred at Yoyodyne once told me they were one time use only.
Those Spencer billet wheel spacers are much lighter than the stock ZX12 steel ones..

I got 10 front bolts and 4 for the rear for only $62.00 total which includes shipping.
Total weight loss is 4 ounces.
One time use? If you are taking your rotors off all the time maybe that would be an issue but average riders will never mess with them until they put on thousands and thousands of miles or actually warp the rotors.

I used a 10lb digital scale. Thanks for the offer of the rotors Steve, I'm good to go, I was changing topic mid-sentence and bitching about the predicted rain for tomorrow, and the UJ race at Jax.
I'm actually looking to replace the kinda heavy rotoes that came with the Marvic. They are 6-bolt HRC units from the mid 80s. Then again a little more weight up front isn't all bad
