Any ideas on sprocket size

Hey guys been doing a lil sprocket testing in the off season. This is a bone stock gsxr 1000 with a nine over arm. 330# suited rider. AT 15 42 it only went 1.78 60 with a 7.109et. WIth 15 47 it went 1.62 60 with a 6.59. Now im thinking of going with a 15 52. Well matter of fact im going with that. I know that sounds so low of a gear but what yall think. I have been launching the crap outta this thing. I have tried several different methods, rpm, and body positions. No such luck. Give it too me. Cant race till sunday might as well get some bench racing on. RIGHT>

Your goal is gearing the 1/8th mile, right? What rpm are you crossing the 1/8th and in what gear? Need to see a video of your current launch to determine if changes in gearing are going to continue to improve your ET.

with 15 47 i just shifted into 4th. on a good launch. As far as the launching goes i can take a stock busa with an arm and do easy 1.49. Its just the weak ass bike i think . lol

Remember then the mag did a test drag raced for the Busa and 1000. It was after Shine raced the zx12 against the Busa. The mag put RC rims wave rotors Trac arms Ti Force pipe PC3R's pretty much the same mods to both bikes. The max HP was 15hp from each other but with the 90lbs lighter 1000 it looked like on paper that it would win. But the TQ of the Busa pulled that weight down the track faster evey time. You just need to stroke that 1000.

Did i mention the race team name is Broke as hell. Just trying to get an advantage on the compitition. There are a few fat guys other than me wanting a grudge match. Motor to motor. I really think the gearing will help me. What about yall.

If you're just shifting into 4th, then add more gear, maybe you can get it across at the top of 3rd. Hard to tell without seeing your run, do you have any video?
