Entropy,

Your ECM is done and should be in Johnny's hand by the time you read this. Also your pipe went out next day today. I will be in touch with JC for the results...have fun this weekend.

The ECM mod is a hardware change. It raises the limiter on the 12 by 5%. It also leans it out 5%, and advances timing ~ 2 degrees. It is very benficial to modified engines.

The question about power increasing into the "extended" rpm's depends TOTALLY ON YOUR SETUP AND TUNING. On a properly setup/tuned engine it will increase performance...guaranteed...this is no way it cannot ....esp in racing applications.

Any other questions please email me.....fzr007@aol.com

Thanx
Dave

Turbo,

This mod has been very popular with the Busa's and 1K's.....It is just starting to take off on the 12's....as people are realizing it's benefits, esp on built motors.

It is $200 TYD for board members.....Thanx for the interest.

Dave

DaveO, Thanks for the zippy turnaround!

Ry, no holding out
the pipe thing just came up fast. Yesterday, just as i was heading out to the airport, Brock called and asked if i wanted to dyno the pre-production BDE sidewinder. Fuk yeah! I should get the pipe today when i get back to Space City and i'll bring the heap & SW to JC on Fri or Sat.

JC'll mount the modded ECU n' do any tuning necessary, then we'll mount the BDE SW and put on ear protection...

This is gonna be COOL!!!

Thanks to DaveO, Brock, JohnnyCheese. These guys ROCK!!!!

canadamaxxer ,

I believe the Ca models to be the same hardware....which means they can be done. The ECM should say "denso" on it.

As soon as he gets the parts i'm sending him, Brock will talk to his fab guy and see what it'll take to engineer & cut the pan. He's a bit concerned about whether there is a sufficient market for them, but will do the fab estimate in any case.

Last night I got home to a box fulla pipes from Brock.
ooooo-la-la
tapered header pipes are not bling-bling pretty, they are precision industrial MEAN!!!

Dude... where do these folks think there is "not" a market for ZX12 drag parts??

Fack... you can buy a used ZX12 for $4500 nowadays... the perfect price for modifying!
