Big Guys that drag race

I am a pretty large guy, 6'1" 330ish, I have a 2003 zx-12r, full akro pipe, 17 toofer, yosh ems, K&N filters, and a strap. Anybody have any guess as to what kinda of mph this beast can pull at the track with me on it? I will be going soon, if the weather holds out. Just want something to shoot for.

Any other big guys race? Give me your times, and the mods it took to get ya there.

I would guess 134 mph, you need more gearing. Go 17.49 and see where you are crossing the line.

You think more gearing will pick up the mph alot more? I was thinking of going to a 16t front, and maybe a 44-45t rear to give me a little more wheelbase.

I think you need to try like a 16-48,49,50. Your MPH may not change much but your acceleration will. If you want to keep a longer wheel base just add some links to your chain. I run a 16-44,46 and you will bog with a 16-44 at your weight. I wouldn't spend alot of money trying to get fast at this point though.

At 6'6",275lbs.,I didn't presume to be able to run anywhere near the times everyone else was posting.I went, did what I could, and then tried to improve on it.The guys I was running next to were running an old Kawasaki 900(Jimmy Hendrix Experience, supposedly has history)that they bought together and took turns racing. It didn't matter to them their bike only went in the13's,they were out there just to have fun and improve.I learned from that as much as the track, toleave ego out of it.Go for it,than tell us about it so we can congradulate you.

look down to popped my cherry.I think it was 11.22 my very first run ever.I got it down to 10.82@135.Another rider my size said he ran in the low tens which is cool because it shows me the difference in experience. He knows how to launch and I'm just learning.Next time I want to try launching at 6 grand. It's really a goof!Felt weird coming back and people are snapping pictures of the bike.

Alive, becareful thinking that more rpms will make you faster. It has a major potential to just get you in trouble.

Ra12r,I thought I was being conservative at 4500-5000.I just put a new chain on and went with the 17/48 combo(3 extra links)so I'll stay with the same rpm launch. What potential trouble are you referring to?

I'm over 300 with leathers . My best time/mph was 10.25/143.8 or.9. The air was perfect though (cold) Hot weather is a lot slower 136-142mph
10.40's and slower. My 60 ft. sux though.

17/46 lowered ,strapped Akropovic,pc-3,+5 advance on timing, bmc race filters, stock wheelbase. 2000 12 green (the one in my avatar). I'm not that good but I really enjoy dragracing. I think I'm better at curves (but still not very good). I just like to have fun.
