Would you mind finding out if the "tall" windshield on the Z1000 at the Seattle show is truely a Kawasaki accessory. The Kawi rep there told me it was, but I can't find it. Thanks,

Subject: parts price quote please

Hi, what is the price for a tall dark windshield for a 2003 Z1000, Kawasaki part number K46001-326? Thanks, Larry.

Sorry, but K46001-326 is not a valid part number..

Thanks

Doesn't look like the number is in the system yet or Ron Ayers is out to lunch, lol.
I have always had good luck with Chip getting me the right parts so I figure it must be the number isn't in the system yet?

Hi Chip, I have been told by contacts at Kawasaki distribution in LA that the number is good and the screens are in the warehouses now and soon to be on thier website. could you check a bit further, maybe a phone call? Thanks, Larry.

His reply:

Sorry, our prices are based off cost. If I do not have the part number in the system I can not order the part.

Thanks

Guess they don't want to go the extra mile and find out.

Any other places to buy online for a fair price?

Thanks for your help Extremelean, you're the man!

dark lord,
my dealer finally got ahold of zero gravity--thier screens for our bikes should be in sometime in january. my dealer thought that the 01 screen would fit, therefore, I'm still waiting....

I hope it works for ya, but I dont see it happeneing, the windhield is something that changed form 01 to the 02 models. If i fits and 01, no matter what make it is, I dont see it fitting and 02....let me know how it turns out, I really want a smoke wind shield for my 02, and have yet to find one....

Those LP screens SUCK!

I got one of their "Speed Screens" for my A1. It was supposed to be similar to ZG's DB screen. Not only was the "bubble" almost nonexistant, there were gaps measuring as much as 3/8" between the screen and the edge it was supposed to meet. VERY LAME!

Zero Gravity is the only screen I've seen consistently fit on many different brands. Some better than others and though it might not quite be "factory flush" in fit, the gaps measure less than 1/16".
