Need help with chatterbox and mp3 input

When I connect my Rio mp3 to my Chatterbox the volumne level is not very good with the mp3 input. The chatterbox volumne level is fine but even using max level on both the mp3 and the chatterbox and I can not hear the tunes well at cruising speed. Is there an amplifier that can go inline between the mp3 and the chatterbox? Is it possible to make a amplifier to do this in a cheap and small package? Thanks for the help.

Hmm...You may have an impedance mismatch. Get out the manuals for both of them and find the output of the rio, and the input impedance for the chatterbox. You could drop an inline resistor on the output of the rio, but that might overdrive the amp for it.
