My clutch !!
My clutch shaft has a big gauwge mark in the side of it. The plunger doesn't seem to be marked. What has caused that ? I'm referring to the shaft that goes down into the case cover that turns and works the clutch.
pulled it apart today and i cain't even get it out of the cover with out grinding down the mark in it. The clutch has been working fine. But, I have noticed over the past few months the lever has been working its engagment point back toward the handle bar. When I put the clutch in it was engaging way at the top. And here latley, it was engaging about 1/4 in from the handle bar. I guess that was the shaft trying to tell me somthing wasn't right. Anyway, nothing else seems hurt. Just need another shaft, but it will probably just do the same thing again. Think I'm just gonna go back with the stk clutch set up (minus the cushions, and small plates) untill I get the billet basket. It hasn't felt right since I went with the all 2.0 set up. Could the 2.0 steels have caused this ?
