Fuckin' Prick
Ranger Ulery is a fucking prick bastard. He didn't have to write me & Chris two tickets each!!! I am still waiting for notification via USPS as to when I am supposed to appear in Federal Court. (over friggin' 500 miles from home ) I still cannot believe that shit happened. I have put several things "On Hold" until after I see how my court goes. It was 3 weeks ago today that he pulled us over on the BRP. He said that we (Chris & I ) would receive a letter from the court in 2 weeks. WHERE THE FUCK IS IT?!?!?!!? LET'S GET THIS SHIT OVER WITH!!!!!! I wanna know if I'm gonna get a 10R to park alongside Lil' Red, or if even having lil' red will not be an option. It all hangs in the balance of what the judge does to my license, which as we all know will have a direct effect on the ol' insurance premiums. This year has been a bad one for my DL, it started in January this year with a brilliant 100 in a 55 mph zone. Oh yeah, that helped a lot didn't it.

Rick I am pulling for you and Chris on this.....and I can tell you why I kept my mouth shut on the BRP...I didnt wasnt a ticket either..I could see his prick ass trying to cite me for disorderly conduct, or reckless endangerment....that fukr.....and not that he could ever make it stick, but it would cause me to get a lawyer, and have to make the drive up there as well.....that in itsself would be a pain in the ass, as you know.....best of luck to you 2 fellas.....

...yup...cops/rangers/troopers/etc. don't have write tickets...but they sometimes do...just like we don't have to speed or present something that would indicate an exhibition of speed...but we sometimes do...we takes our chances and hopes for the best, yes?...we have no-one to blame but ourselves, right?...we are a minority compared to the rest of the motoring public, but we just roll the dice cuz' its so freekin' easy to roll that throttle...most cops could care less about why, where, or when you speed...they most likely only care that you did it on their watch...so like any good cop worth his paycheck, he's/she's gonna take some law enforcement action, whether its a ticket, or a warning...most motorist caught in the act of violating a speed law would like a warning no matter how its delivered...most cops give one or the other...some cops will give you both (I hate those!...very uncool)...I don't think the average cop has it out for motorcyclist...I think bikers on a whole are more paranoid because it is so damn easy to be a hooligan on these iron steeds...and we all know that we're gonna do it!...believe me, I know from both sides of the law...I would venture to say the cagers on a whole get more tickets than bikers...makes sense...there's more of them...but speeding motorcyclist looks faster than a speeding cage...thus it gets the attention pretty quick for the beat cop...its all about perception...here's a visual experiment: which looks faster, a 300mph 747 or a 300mph learjet?...good luck, guys...

yeah, no doubt they arent all like that. i'v had my share of luck with cops not botherin me (plus more than my share of bad luck with cops who did), but sounds like this shithead was... well, a shithead. like u said wormy, nothin more annoyin than a cop who gives u the lecture/bad attitude AND the ticket. personally, i dont think a cop who gives one of those talkin down to u lectures should be a cop. the job (tho calling it a "job" really doesnt do it justice) is far too important to be entrusted to a person who can't even stay professional about it, who takes it for the power trip and not for the chance to serve their fellow man. a cop who does their job well gets all my respect and admiration, cause that has got to be a damn difficult thing to do. a cop who doesnt gets little more than the real criminals he's there to protect the public from.

...sometimes I'm a smartass, but only because the suspect will make some tired, trite, and insulting remark towards me while "I'm just trying to do my job...nothing personal"......but I'll try to say it in a way that the suspect will only realize what I had just said long after we've parted ways...and do you know that some departments actually discourages its officers from saying, "Have a nice day." after we've given a motorist a ticket? It's been deemed in some circles that "Have a nice day" reeks of sarcasm after the fact....I think its funny...I usually say, "Be careful out there." no matter how hostile the motorist was towards me...and I know he's/she's saying what an asshole I was for getting their autograph as they drive away

that's a good point about the ubiquitous "have a nice day". they do it here too and it does annoy me, even if it sounds sincere (which it rarely does. it's more liek the bank rep saying "thanks for calling Bank of America" when ur thru). "be careful out there"... that ic an appreciate, and i think it's pretty hard to say that sarcastically.
as to singling out bikes, we get a fair bit of it here too. in particular every time u come across a roadblock u have to produce ur license, as opposed to cars where they just say hi, make sure u dotn stink of alcohol, and move on. but i cant blame them as aparently some 50% of bikers dont have a license, so they're just checking that u actually have one.

Dont feel too bad. Toward the end of July I was out with my Dad(12R) and Wife(SV). They'd stopped to put in earplugs, which they'd forgot. so I just rode ahead. Came up on a Subaru wagon with a boat on the roof doing 25 in a 45 on a twisty backroad, arm out the window gesturing to hid buddy, yak yak yak. After letting this guy kick up gravel in every corner I finally just went around on a small straight stretch. Didn't blow his doors or nothin, just passed. Well, 6-7 miles up I turned off on another road and 50 yards uot pulled over to wait for Dad & Ruby. Well along comes this Subaru. This idiot, about 30, jumps out arms waving, chest pumped out yelling "That was uncalled for!" and so on. Now I'm expecting a fight with some drunk fisherman and I'm preparing to punch his face in if he gets any closer. At this point he pulls out his wallet and flashes a deputy sheriff's badge, proceeded to read me the riot act, asks for ID etc.(You will respect mah a-thora-tah!) By now Dad and Ruby are there. To make a long story short this horses ass waited 10 days to write a ticket, 2 more days to mail it, postmarked 6 days from the appearance date. WTF? I'm out of state. This asshole knows there's no way I can reply by then. Got home from Sturgis to find out I was supposed to appear in court the day before. Hard for me to swallow that an off duty asswipe can pull some shit like this. Now my neighbor is a cop, I got a friend or 2 that are cops, and have the utmost respect for them and their profession but this jerk....well you get the picture. If I'd been acting like a squid, no problem, I deserve it. But that wasn't the case, yeah, I know I was technically in the wrong. But give me the ticket or the lecture, no proble, but not both, THAT makes an asshole. And FWIW I may be 37 but I LOOK 48 with all this gray, not like a still shittin green punk. I cant stand being talked to like a 3 yr old. Burns my ass. One of the ZRX board members, also a cop, came up from Texas a few weeks after and stopped in for a ride. He couldnt believe it either.
Oh, Passing in a no passing zone is $175 +3 points in Wisconsin. I spoke to a lawyer in that venue, said dont waste your time, you'll get nowhere fast. At least he was honest. Thinking seriously of trading the 12 on that new 2000cc Vulcan. With a senior in high school my insurance is already killing me.

I don't suppose we want to talk about the fact that when we meet cops on the road we are usually breaking the law? I mean the last post was just f&*%ked up that cop was a jerk but cops are alot like strippers. They see the worst in men every day all day. Alot of those cops have scraped up kids and can't help but be freaked out and bothered. They can't help but see you as the next ambulance call or the next high speed chase thru a gradeschool playground because they are cops.
Make friends with a lawyer. Everything goes better/smoother with a lawyer. It is a total scam and they are all in on it but if you want to keep the points off the license the lawyer is the way to go. If you call the courthouse and ask questions they act like they have no idea what you are talking about. I have been conferenced in with my lawyer asking the same questions to the same person and they just give shit away! Name, relevent numbers all that stuff. You go to court without a lawyer and they want to know if you are guilty or innocent. With a lawyer and they want to hear about the circumstances and how it can be worked out.
Jeez that sounds like I am defending cops and advocating lawyers. My life has been reduced to this.

When I was a teenager I was messing around in a State Park with a 340 Dodge Demon Hemi Orange with black stripes. It was wet and nobody in the park so I spun the tires up for about a 1/4 mile with a couple cheerleaders in the car and the 340 with headers and cherry bombs was singing loud and proud. I got up to about 80 when I seen a road block with two park rangers.
I was cutting school which I told em I was cutting school and which school I went to, And raising hell in the state park and they took me to the park headquarters and kept us waiting outside for an hour. I was sweating bullets. They came back outside and said" Don't come back here if you can't drive the speed limit in the park.
Short and to the punch line and then released me. 25 years later and I get a surmon from Blueridge cop A total moron that worked his entire life to be an asshole.

Solution...........
I've got a solution to all these problems and more. Norm and I will start holding meetings at your friendly neighborhood "Waffle House" diners all across America. During these series of meetings we will cover all aspects of life, and whatever other bullshit we deem necessary. During our segment "Fuck Any & All Law Enforcement" we will show you how get not one, but TWO Citations for the price of ONE!!!!!
Just messin' with you Norm. I'm glad you weren't with me and Chris. Your ranting ass woulda landed all of us in Jail. Bart would have been on cloud nine, he could've finally wore his jersey that says "Fresh Meat" on the back.
