I use RedLine 10-40 synthetic in both 12s, NO PROBLEMS!!!
Do not change to a Muzzy clutch if you have a 2002/03/04!!!...It will take away your clutch life...On the 2002 the clutch lasted to 126 passes with just the Billet Basket mod...I now have the 11 same fibers/10 2.0 steels and only get 54 passes!!!...So now I am going back to 12 same fibers and 11 steels that came in the factory set up!!!...Dont know what size they were yet, but when I find out thats what I will be using from now on!!!

Oils are like black magic. Sometimes even our oil suppliers don't know how to answer my engine oil questions.

Mobil 1 15w50 "Red Cap".
Out performs even MX4T! After having my drained oil tested at
(www.oillab.com) NOTHING has held up better than the 15w50......Not Motul 300V, Amsoil, Royal Purple (Junk) etc. Actualy, Castrol GTX 20w50 holds up better than most of these!
I buy mine at Wal-Mart CHEAP!

The difference between Mobil 1 and Mobil MX4T is that the later has less than 5 ppm of moly in it. Mobil 1 has 80 ppm of moly.
My take on clutches is the more plates and steel in it, the more torque it will be able to take-if the plates and steels are up to it. Heat is the ultimate limitation for any clutch. If you launch and slip your clutch all the way though first, I don't think it matters one bit what kind of ol you have in the pan. Also remember that if you super heat the clutch over and over, at some point the clutch springs may start to permenantly loss there tension.
As for clutch longevity, I have an old 92 Zx-11 with arguably 155 plus rear ponies. I have been down the track over the years hundreds of times and down the street for over 62,500 miles - 101,000 kms. The cover has been off to change springs. It still has the Original Fibres and are mint! Clutch stack height is well with in specs. Running 17/41 gearing. etc, blah, blah, blah. - I don't abuse it by never launching at anything above 5000rpm. It wheelies at that point very nicely.
Mobil One is probably the best all round oil. I am still trying to figure out if Diesel oil is as good.
