Watch out for Starcycle

Tell me how great Starcycle is again? As most of you know....I recently cancelled my order with starcycle......
A week after I cancelled my order I noticed that my credit card had not been credited. So, I called.......the sales rep put me on hold.Came back and said that he could not find my order in the file and that meant that someone had the ticket to issue credit.
Checked last night and still no credit. I called today and the sales rep put the owner on the phone. Owner tells me that my order shipped on the 27th. WTF??????
The order shipped 8 days after I cancelled it.
Owner told me that none of his sales reps would have told me that they were going to issue a credit to my AMEX because they do not allow you to cancel orders.
After a heated discussion with the owner I ended the call.
I called back and got the sales rep that took my order. I asked again will you give me my money back........He said that he would but the owner says otherwise.
I tell him to get the owner back on the phone.
20 min. on hold later I call back.
I get the owner.......I ask him if his rep talked to him....he says no.
I tell him to put me on hold and go get the rep.....Now it is the owner and 2 other people that take orders......they all said that they had never told me anything about giving my money back.
The best that they say they will do is ....when I get the goods. Ship them back and they will give me a store credit.
Owner said over and over that on their web site and on their flyer ....no cancelled orders allowed.
I have news....I have never seen their website or flyer....I got the # from a riders website !
So..........................instead of providing GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE he forces me to make the group aware of this situation.
I told him that I am a long time member of the ZRXOA and I heard about him thru the site. I know for a fact that this group has spent a large amount of money at Starcycle. I said to him that I cant beleive that he is treating me this way.
Bottom line.......He does not give a sh*t about the money that this organization has spent with him.
Before anyone accuses me of being a hot head or unreasonable...........Many here have met me in person.....I am about as low key as they come.
He kept telling me that they pre-mapped the PCIII for me and that is why they did not cancell the order and shipped it anyway. Well UN-MAPP the frigging thing!
I do not want a store credit and I will never spend another dime with that company.
The owner kept telling me that if I wanted to cancel an order I should have spoke to him.
How many times in your life have you made a return or cancelled something and asked for the owner to do it??????? I am just pissed.
I now have to go thru the hassle of shipping his stuff back to him when it arrives ....or refusing it if I am home when the UPS guy shows and then I have to go thru the hassle of filing a dispute with AMEX all because his sales rep did not follow thru.
In the retail business the customer is always right if you want repeat business. I do not appreciate being called a liar by this guy......because in his words....my people would never let you cancel your order.

Call AMEX NOW and refuse shippment and take a picture of the refusal! If you are like me, you never want to do business with them again even if they have the only @@** Part in the world, you will do without first! The good news is that you have not signed anything that says this "HAVE YOU"??

If you want to refuse shipment, you can leave a note for the UPS driver on the front door telling him that.

Amex will immediately credit your card and then pursue the company to get the charges refunded.
Id go that route.

Yea, It sounds like the sales rep forgot to cancel the order and the item was drop shipped from the manufacturer and they dont want it in thier store in inventory having paid the manufacturer for it.
Maybe they are cash strapped right now and are trying to reduce inventory?

Fuckin' Bums........
Starcycle has some shady business practices. They are notorious for saying that they have an item in stock and ready to ship, when in fact they do not. I personally know of two instances where they gave a couple of my friends the "run around" after they had ordered exhaust from them.
My bud that has the new '03 ZRX1200 is in a fix with them right now over a Muzzy exhaust. He ordered it over a month ago and was told it was in stock and ready to ship out. He waited a week and a half and nothing came via the BBT. So he calls them back, they proceed to tell him they are waiting on Muzzy. He asked what Muzzy had to do with anything??? They then informed him that they had to order his parts from Muzzy!!! He told them that when he ordered his pipe the salesman said the item was in stock and would ship out to him the next day. They denied that was ever said. One month and several heated phone calls later, still no exhaust. I told him to cancel the order and call his credit card's customer service # and give them the heads up on what's going on. If Starcycle insist on charging him for the exhaust, the credit card company will dispute those charges. My bud will not be liable for any debts to Starcycle if he takes that route. He is still hoping that they come through, I'd have washed my hands of it two weeks into the ordeal. Some people have tons of patience, I am not a member of that group.
I've heard a few other people tell similar things about Starcycle, and based on what facts I do know about them, I'd have to say it all must be true. They need to take a few crash courses in "Customer Service 101".

We have the exh. system instock for the 2003 ZRX1200. I dont know WHAT they are doing but we can ship it out to your buddy. Tell him if he wants it quick AND without HASSELS call me. The part numbers are the same for 2000-2003 ZRX's

Wow, my only dealing with Star Cycle was in 96 when I needed a tire for my ZX11. He didnt have it in stock but got UPS to just drop ship to me. I thought that was an allright deal. Hope your deal works out..
