Installing PC: Follow the !@#$@% directions!!

Installing my PC3 the other night. Carefully route wires, clean up ass end of bike etc. etc. Taking my time.

Test PC with power input: check. Recognizes changes in throttle: check. Load 0 map: check. Retrieve map: check. Looks good.

Put gas tank back on, double check wiring, do test fire of bike.

Turns over: Nada. Won't fooking start. Troubleshooting 101: remove that which you have changed. Unplug PC from ECU harness: Fires right the !@$#$ up.

Hmmmm. After pacing the garage and beating on my dog, I finally decide to review the instructions one more time (but they were pretty damend simple).

Only difference is that I put the negative lead that goes to the battery on the big black wire at the bottom of the battery tray. Looks like it's all on the same circuit. But, I put it on the battery post anyway just like in the picture.

Fires right the hell up.

Had to bitch about SOMETHING today.

Now, to wait for my Muzzy exhaust to come in....

Yeah my Yosh EMS box wouldn't not let the bike fire if the ground wire was marginal at all. Just ground to battery should be good to go.

That would be because the Yosh is made by Powercommander as well....

No.. you fuck off... I'm telling people the truth... perhaps you have a hard time reading what I am writing.

I am tired of people slagging DJ and saying they are shit, and that the Yoshbox is "the second coming" when it is a Powercommander made and programmed by DJ in a box with a Yosh logo on it.

come on already!

You are one serious whiney fuck. Sniveling about how 'more worried about getting shot at with a BC plate to be honest'...BULLSHIT! That's just your self-indulgent need for affirmation of your overblown ego. Everyone does NOT have to love you, or your liberal, limp-dick loser mentality.

Truth is, none of the boxes (PC, EMS, Techlusion, etc.) are anywhere near the quality of components of the original ECU. Talking consumer grade vs. aerospace grade components, and the truth is, ya get what you pay for.

I grounded mine to the frame on the rear master cylinder brakcket. I didn't like the wire being piched under the battery cover.

question tho, is the motec unit just one model, or are there differnet units for bikes, cars, 4 vs 8 cyl etc?
