Filters
I put my K&N's in today...is it me or are they very hard to get in there. I had my dad pushing on them while I was tring to get the bolt through the top....I hope they work good cause for 80.00 you'd think they would go in a little easier...

It's not you. I hate removing my K&n's for cleaning.I hope you greased the sides before you installed them otherwise you will have even more fun when you remove them!

BMC race filters fit just like OEM, slide right in and out!

Yeah I have the k&N's and I can only get one of them out. I will say you may want to pull those silver covers off of the airbox and use a flashlight to look in there and see if the filters even went in correctly. I looked at mine when I was trying to get one out and noticed it had collapsed and I had like a 2 inch breezeway on each side of the one filter. I could stick my finger from the front of the airbox all the way through to the throttle body end. I will be going with BMC's if I ever get the other filter out of the bike.

Ditto on all the above. I had the same problem, and had to use a long screwdriver through the aluminum throttle body inspection plates to seat them.
I got them for half price, so I am sticking with them for now, but with all the good talk on the BMC's it sounds like the next time they come out they will be REPLACED.
btw, are the BMC's good for just everyday street riding? I thought they were only to be used for racing? Are they filtering as well as the OEM/K&N filters? Do they last as long?

The BMC Race or regular is a pleasure to get in and out! I have more patience for SuperNut than a K&N FIlter.
