my lift was about 1200us+tires and wheels which was about $1500us more. Not that expensive, especially if your gonna out aftermarket rims and tires anyway.
Worm,I'm not brand loyal when it comes to trucks. If i was to buy a new truck right now it would be the new dodge diesel(good fuel economy and doesn;t sound liker a tractor anymore)

...Cowboy...I'm beginning to see the light (remember Ford's 'Better Idea' commercials?)...I'm really really liking the 250-350 Fords...the Dodge H.O. diesels and its multitudes of innovative bins and cabin storage ideas aren't available in California (yet)...the Duramax is pretty quiet and peppy, too...I'm dreamin' ...you guys have really cool rigs!...I'm envious

Silvrnick,
My total package for my truck was a bit more but I went a little furthur on some of the things I should. I am running Forged Weld Moutnina Crusher Rims that cost about $300 each and the tires are SSR Radials that are not cheap. I am also running 8 MX-6 Adjustable Shocks that cost about $85 each and a double front sterring stabilizer. So some money could be saved by "skimping" here and there but my total lift out the door installed was $5800 Lift, Rims, Tires, Stabilizer, Double Shock Brackets, Shocks, Rear Pionion bearing Carrier, EVERYTHING!
My main concern was to keep the ride quality and I must say it still rides like a Caddy! I love it!

WormHole...2 weeks ago I recieved my Chevy Express 3500 15 Passenger Van!!!...Man I love this thing!!!...I ordered it to my liking, Base model Black with all the options as the appearence package and saved myself $600.00, but added black painted rims along with the black painted bumpers and grill...Has tinted windows...Well you can imagine what it looks like

Has a 6.0 300HP with 360lbs.torque, hauls the 12s effortlessly inside covered from the elements and from grubby fingers!!!...Also has a 7000lb. towing capacity!!!...All that for $29,300.00!!!

Nice Pickup!!!

Hey Worm before you buy take a look around at some used trucks. 50,000 or more miles 2 or more years old. Take a few for a drive. The Ford is atough looking truck. It looks good. That said drive a Chevy,Dodge and Ford then make your decission.
I believe you will find one of those in the group will show more wear, and have more rattles and parts coming a part or breaking.

YIKES!...I drove a black 03 F250 FX4 XLT Sport Supercab 6.0 Powerstroke Diesel/5-speed Torqueshift the other night...if the seat of my fat ass is any indication, all I can say is....HO-LEE-SHIT!!!!....suprising acceleration and crispy sporty shifts...with emphasis on SPORTY...if I'm not mistaken, its buries the Duramax/Allison and 5.9 Cummins BIG TIME!...I'd like to buy one tomorrow if I win the lottery tonight....or I'll wait for a good used one next year (thanks, Zoo )...and all this coming from a die-hard Chevy man...go test drive one!...325HP/560-ftlb w/3.73s (according to to specs) makes it one hell of a 4x4 light-truck diesel....

The diesel trucks coming out of detroit are not the slug slow diesels that most people think. They get up and haul ass. And as hard as it is to believe they do better with a load.
