Putting together an interesting team...
Time to get ready for the racing season. I've got a small sponsorship from Riders For Health
http://www.riders.org/2003/html/home.php
I'll be raising some money for this organization via pledges, so I'll be making an appearance with the bike at the Cycle Barn open house on May 18th, in Lynwood, WA. If anyone is in the area, stop by and say hello!
Current plans for racing the bike include a limited schedule of sprint races at Pacific Raceway in the Formula Ultra and Open Supersport classes of WMRRA.
The focus of the upcoming season will be competing in The Northwest Endurance Series.
The endurance team is forming up, with firm committments from three riders, and interest of a couple other riders.
WMRRA's only endurance event will be the 8 hour race at Spokane Raceway Park on 27/28 September (See ya there Ozzy!) so we'll be heading down to Portland International Raceway for the OMRRA endurance races earlier in the season. I'll post the OMRRA schedule here when it becomes available on the OMRRA site. Maybe I'll see Dino down there! So far, I've got rains, DOTs and slicks mounted up and ready to go. A couple plastic crates with all the spare parts I can gather in the box. Of course, I'm always on the lookout for other goodies, so if anyone needs to clean out space in their garage, give me a shout and we'll talk.
Looking at the ages of the riders, I think I'm the pup of the group. Of course, Zhooligan will tell ya that he's younger, but don't believe him, it's a fake ID.
That's all for now I guess, I'll post more news as I get it. Hoping that it'll be a fun year.

SWFT, I dropped by Cyclebarn yesterday, and talked w/them about their open house. They are planning for it to be a much bigger event then in previous years. On the downside, it looks like my hopes to repeat as Horsepower King just went up in flames, expecially if ZH shows up I hope you guys know, I'd rather have you there than not, it's all in good fun.

Heh, I don't doubt that ZH will hold the hp number unless a turbo bike shows up! I've actually detuned the 1270 to make it more manageable for the track. I'm in search of 'friendly' power, vice raw power.

Just talked to Mike Velasco. Barring AMA Superbike committments, he'll be there.

Perhaps Mike should get some MVR stickers so when our bikes post 200+ Hp on the Dyno shootout, the right guy will get the credit

My endurance bike has been detuned, for rideability. Last year, I had put a 43 tooth sprocket on the rear, to help calm it down, but it would still come right up on the straightaway through 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear. Not certain how fast that is, prolly in the neighborhood of 140, still on the back tire.
