Devirginized my slick & bars today...
I ran at the "Hangover Drags" at Sears Pointe (OK...Infineon Raceway.) You guys were so right about the gearing. My 16/48 sprockets didn't show up in time, so I ended running with the stock (18/46) gearing today. That was a real shocker.
The first pass, I bogged so hard that the rpm's dropped down to 3K off the line. I guess I didn't launch hard enough.
I ended up getting eliminated in the first round, but I still had a blast. It's a lot more fun when you don't have to worry about flipping over or your clutch basket blowing up.
Team Fat Ass could only manage a measly 10.47 @ 139mph today. I need a couple of test & tunes to get used to the new setup. (the right gearing would probably help too...)

At least your honest! You don't drop in the 9's and lower just by having the right set-up. It takes skill and practice!

Glad you had fun! I'll have my silver monster back soon, and will be drag racing it this spring, before going to Bonneville with it.
